Comfort Inn & Suites Surprise Near Sun City West

Katryna checked us in and made us feel very welcome. We had a slightly unusual issue to deal with and she handled it smoothly, getting us checked in and into our room. The bed was super comfortable and having the separate living room solved our problem. A nicely sized refrigerator in the room was handy. The breakfast was a basic buffet that left us full and contented. The 6am seating time during the week suited us perfectly. All in all it was a very nice stay.

It was minor but the air conditioner blows up under the blackout curtains preventing the cool air circulating into the room but if you flatten the curtains against the wall with something like shoes it solves the problem. They might want to look at a more consistent solution because once we figured it out we didn't have to set the thermostat quite as cold.

The stay was excellent. The housekeeper was very kind and with a great attitude to customers. I loved with the whole stay. The only complaint is that the morning staff in the cafeteria need alot of improvement with customer service. They look always look mad or if they’re having bad day. At least smile to customers.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Map in room neglected to show laundry room and ice machine on our floor. Guests were a bit loud. I was woken repeatedly with thumps on the upper floor and bangs into my door after 11pm.

I didn't like that room service isn't noted that it's a third party company. Grub hub and Uber eats would have been quicker and cheaper.

The front desk guy was super nice and helpful. The room was WAY nicer than I expected from the price. We got a double queen room and a deluxe king suite that were connected and it was a good space for my family - 3 young kids, 3 adults (2 older kids shared a queen bed, husband and I shared a queen bed, and we brought a bed for the baby, my mother in law got her own king room). The suite had a big living room area that was so spacious. The bedding was also super soft and comfortable and the beds were good. Everything was spotless. Smelled good. There was an indoor pool which the kids loved. My kids liked the cereal, yogurt and bananas for breakfast. It's nice that there are keurigs, mini fridges and microwaves in the rooms.

The location felt a little shady - the parking lot could use more light. By 6:30 all the hot breakfast options were gone. Breakfast was from 6-9. The indoor pool was super humid and musty, but that was remedied when I opened the door to the outdoor patio. There was a TON of chlorine in the pool - more than was necessary. The pool is not the best if you have small kids because the only place my five year old could play without hanging off me was the stairs.

Room was comfortable and I loved having a refrigerator and microwave. Location worked well for me. Breakfast was decent.

When I first arrived I was able to watch TV that had a good remote with a guide to see what was on. They switched to Dish and now there is no ability to see what is on TV.

The food was decent and rooms were clean! Beds were pretty comfortable! The pool was amazing! I asked for extra towels and got plenty! :)

When I got there to check in, I ringed the bell twice and no one came. I decided to call and finally someone came to check me in.

It was okay. I wish there would have been some benches outside to set on while waiting for my ride.

It smelled like moth balls in the lobby and hallway although it didn’t smell in my room.

The staff was extremely courteous and attentive to my needs. The pool hours lasted until 11 p.m. and they told me I could stay even later if I wanted. He even laid out a couple fresh towels for me. The breakfast was hearty and tasty.

The only negative thing I have to say is that there were several candy wrappers on the floor in the pool area.

The friendly staff, cleanliness, and the locations because it was next to a bunch of stores. It’s about 25 minutes from the mall at Arrowhead. I had booked a last minute stay because my AirBnb was a dump. anyways, highly recommend this place.
