Windmill Suites Surprise, Ascend Hotel Collection

Great location. Fountain, pond, grass, birds. Nice room, responsive staff. Linens were good quality and bright white. Roll-in shower with flip down, wall-mounted shower stool. Great outdoor lighting. I felt very safe there.

The sofa (bed) and upholstered chair were not clean. Old and stained. The grab bar by the toilet wasn't securely mounted or was loose. No layout of the facilities/amenities available. A little pricey for the age/upkeep of the property.

Very clean property with exceptionally friendly staff! Anthony at the front desk was friendly and outgoing. He was helping several people at once and was sincere in his care and concern.

Not in the best area. We went out to our vehicle about 7:30 in the evening and there were several homeless people hanging out near the side entry door “B.” They were conversating about drug use and that made us uncomfortable. Burger King also shares the parking lot/street area and twice I witnessed men approaching the cars in the Drive Thru, and then saw two of the men enter into the gate secured trash area. The hotel itself was very clean, and we loved the room! Not the best area for those that like to be out at night, or enjoy a morning walk in the neighborhood.

Location is easy to access & close to restaurants & shopping. Facilities were clean and with a couple of exceptions (ice machines at one end of each floor were out of order, elevator was super noisy) in good repair. Pool & outside area are very nice. Good breakfast & staff are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful.

Daily maid service was not provided, only after every third night unless requested. When I’m paying $100+ per night to stay somewhere it’s nice to have the bed made & trash emptied daily.

Room and accommodations were very good. Breakfast staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was good.

No one during our stay came in to make the bed or provide clean sheets. On the fourth day, I went to the office to tell them and was told it was an oversight. The person at the desk gave me three clean towels and wash rags because we were totally out. She said someone would come in and clean the next day and provide clean linens. That didn't happen so I went to the office again. I cleaned the waste baskets and put trash in the hall. If this situation was due to Covid, I would have preferred to be informed when we arrived that I needed to get my own linens and clean out the trash. If not, the hotel staff needs to be held accountable.

We liked the overall suite set up/decore & the dividing doors.Corner kitchen was designed perfectly.Walk in Shower so convenient.Pool was a great size. Front staff Ami & Breakfast server (Maria)was very professional and friendly.Ami adjusted check in time,which helped us out a lot since we came in from out of state.

Pool could have been cleaner,no pool towels available in the evening time. Couch mattress was very uncomfortable.Low Toilet flush.No water bottles in room for guests.

Room design as a suite was very good. My wife could sleep late with the bedroom doors closed, while I could conduct some business on my laptop at the desk. Air conditioning worked well to maintain a comfortable temperature on a hot 100F day. Breakfast was very good, and I enjoyed seated outside on the patio in the cool of the morning.

I have no complaints. I would suggest that you make the coffee a little stronger. One can always water it down if it seems too strong.

The Room was beautiful. Nice and roomy for my kids. The Central air was great to have in such warm weather. I have stayed other places and it never felt as cool in the room as it did here. The pool is great with an amazing view of the pond. The staff was great, I had to do a late check out and they were more than accommodating.

the elevator was a bit unsettling and there were no ice machines available except at the front desk. No biggie though

My room was comfortable and clean. It had a coffee or, microwave and small refrigerator. The staff we friendly and well versed in service animals as I travel with one.The breakfast was good especially the breakfast burritos. They had a good mix of foods and teas for the guests

The carpets in the hall and hallways need updating as does the exterior doors. The rooms have been updated, at least the one I stayed in and it was lovely.

very comfortable suites. The pool was the perfect temperature as well as the jacuzzi. The beds were comfortable as well and I loved how they provided about 6 pillows. very spacious rooms. The breakfast was yummy also. No deposit required for the stay was definitely a plus for me as well

Unfortunately none of the ice machines were working however the front desk was able to provide us with ice I’m assuming from the kitchen.

Room was VERY nice and much more than I was expecting. Nice little buffet breakfast every morning was included in our room price. Front desk staff super nice. Really comfy bed and lots of pillows. Property is entirely non-smoking.

The internet was difficult as it kept going in and out on my system. Gave us the password but never told told us which “windmill” number to log into.
