Residence Inn by Marriott Tempe Downtown/University

Breakfast was what is expected. A bit cozy if you hit the rush hour! Hotel was quite full as we were there for graduation. Location is absolutely perfect for graduations in the stadium or basketball arena. Just a short walk away and easy to avoid all the stadium parking traffic as lots are on the other side of the stadium. Could not have worked out better for our purposes. Also we had a suite with a balcony where we could see the fireworks for the College ceremonies we weren't attending too! Very festive and fun. They also had nice afternoon treats celebrating the grads. Hotel did a great job.

Pool is only 3 ft deep. I guess that is easier when on the roof. But it was fine. Just kind of funny. And little kids will love it. My kids are all over 6 ft -- hence the funny part. Also wish towels were slightly larger.

The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices for food. The location of the hotel was ideal. Thd proximity to the. Ampus was ideal. The size of the room was fantastic. Although we didnt utilize the kitchen, it was nice to know we could have bought groceries.

One of the TVs did not work.

Have stayed at this property 3 times. Each visit, the staff was excellent and extremely helpful and kind, rooms and lobby always very clean, great breakfast, excellent location near ASU campus

This location is extremely close (10 minute walk) to the start of the Arizona Rock and Roll Half Marathon start line. The hot was a very good and open until 10pm.

I didn't expect to pay $15.00 for parking and it would be nice if the property allowed the hot tub to be open until at least 11pm, especially on a Saturday night.

The staff was very courteous, polite and working extra hard to keep guests happy. Thank you! The hotel has an ideal location, close to Tempe lake, ASU and a bunch of restaurants and markets. There is a mosque and halal markets behind the hotel which was great! The 11th floor had a great view of the area, fire place, a safe pool and jacuzzi. We were told that due to COVID the hotel was understaffed and housekeeping will be performed by request only. I appreciate the clear communication. We staying for 3 nights and it was a pleasant stay.

Parking was $15/day - the parking structure is joined with the hotel building but, parking is not included in the price of your stay. There was a half bottle of Hennessy in one of the vanity cabinets - I called the Front Desk to get it cleared out. The breakfast was underwhelming; boiled egg, orange juice/water and a some sausage and egg roll. No options for those who are non-egg or vegetarian. TV didn't work, but I wasn't there to watch TV. I am sure they would've fixed it if I called the front desk - but I didn't really care.

I absolutely loved my stay !! The front desk staff where absolutely amazing they make u feel like family they are so accommodating and considerate!! Probably best staff I have ever encountered! I wanted to give them all a hug ! The rooms so cozy the balcony’s awesome with the greatest view just wanted to sit out there all day ! Fire pit So much fun ! Gym loved! Location walking distance to everything!

Only thing I didn’t like is the time the amenities closed wish was open a bit longer for us night owls

great location next to ASU callus and A Mountain—lots of shopping and restaurants nearby! Good breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Expensive

The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and my family really enjoyed the pool/spa area.

I wish the sweet was a little bigger with more space between the couch area and bedroom area for the price.

We likes the amenities, coffee , breakfast, pool etc.

We needed two double beds in each room . the coach bed is awful.

Location was nice for access to Arizona State campus and there was a lot of restaurants and other places very close walks away.

Unfortunately first night there was a loud group in next room over making lot of noise till almost 4 AM.
