The Foothills Motel was a random spot we decided to try when attending a wedding at the Monte Verde Inn (15 minute drive). Neither my friend or I had ever stayed in a motel and we had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained the front office/motel rooms were. Everything looked brand new and the beds were very comfortable. The little fridge was so cute and spacious. The bathroom was large and bright. We appreciated that they had hard flooring instead of carpet. There were no signs of bugs or anything unpleasant. It was incredibly quiet and we never heard our neighbors on either side. The parking lot was clean and safe. There were no shady people hanging around like you may see in your average motel. Overall it was a great stay and we would 100% recommend this motel to anyone who’s looking for an affordable place in Auburn.

We thought it was a little pricey for a motel, but compared to the other motels in the area I’m sure it was well worth the extra $50 a night.

Location and your understanding of our very very late arrival at 2AM --- Your manager on site was quick and efficient. The room was great and much nicer than we thought. We have been to this motel years and years ago. Great job on the remodel. Loved the room, tiny but clean and comfy.

The little fridge makes noise through out the night. I'll bring ear plugs next time. Our incredibly inconsiderate noisy neighbors.... They came outside at 6am for goodness, smoked and hacked up a lung NUMEROUS times all morning. Very loud and noisy.. And then he threw all his nasty butts all over the ground outside.. Sad..

The location was right off the freeway. The property sat up above the street. The property was very clean both in the room and outside on the grounds. Although I did not have time to take advantage of the bowling alley, guest get a 10% discount on food and games. At night, the parking lot was well lit with lights that expand the length of the buildings. The extra lights do not disturb one's sleep due to the blinds and a solid shade to keep your room darkened during sleep. The property was quiet during my stay.

The property sat above and a little back from the street and I almost missed the driveway which was immediate after turning off the Main street.

Location great, just off freeway but quiet. Looks old 50's motel on outside but well kept up. Inside totally modernized. We stay in hotels/motels more than 50 nights a year and this is the cleanest (including all the very high priced places) that I have encountered in years!!!! And, LOTS of plugs in convenient place. Didn't have to crawl over/under and unplug a lamp or something to charge one phone and a computer.

The rooms are very small. Fine for one night but wouldn't like to stay multiple nights probably. Well organized though but no table or desk. Laptop became indeed a laptop on my lap as I sat in the bed.

The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were large. Heater worked perfectly. Towels were high quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Remodel has everything updated. It feels new. Large refrigerator, in reto red. The bathroom was well lighted with a large shower, no tub. Some rooms have a balcony and all rooms are ground level.

There is no phone in the room to call the front desk if there's a problem. If you need a hair dryer or iron, get it when you check in. The clerk did say these items were at the front desk, and they were not in the rooms.

These guys did an excellent job of refurbishing and updating an old 50's type motel. The beds were comfortable, the wall TV enormous, the bathroom remodel superb and the retro-looking coffee maker and refrig were entertaining as well.

With two queen beds, not enough room inside. No room for a table, or a chair or really anything beside the built in wall unit. Breakfast in the morning would have been nice, but what can you do with an old-style 50's motel equipped with a very small office area.

I liked everything about this Motel. Easy, seamless registration. Ample parking. Super nice room with a fun "throw back" decor (red, vintage style room fridge etc).. Bed was so comfortable, as were the linens and the pillows. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. AC worked great. The staff at reception was very nice. Great location and easy to find off of the freeway. I needed assistance with the TV and got help right away from the same nice man that had been at reception. Close to food with numerous restaurants options all around. Even near a bowling alley if you wanted a little family fun during your stay. A great find!

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

I gave it the highest ratings because it met or exceeded my expectations for what it is advertised as. A refurbished motor motel from the old days. It's clean, it's easy to get to, there is plenty of parking and the staff is friendly. Everything in the room worked, they didn't cheap out on the fixtures and the beds were comfortable and the linens fresh and not showing a bit of wear. I have stayed in higher end hotels that don't have the quality of linens and towels this one had the nights of my stay in two different rooms. Even though one night was very busy it remained quiet.

Not an issue, just a suggestion, a backup roll of TP in each room and maybe a box or kleenex would be a nice extra.

Classic one story motel that has recently been redone in sort of a retro style. You can park in front of your room. Set back from Hwy 50 on small hill. Very clean, quiet, good AC & wifi. Keurig coffee maker with coffee, fridge. Wood laminate floors which I prefer over carpet because they are easy to keep clean. Big flat screen TV with cable. Window blinds and black out shade. We'd happily stay here again.

I wish there were some grassy & shady grounds to relax in outside of our room; it's all paved parking areas around the motel's buildings. With 2 queen beds there wasn't any extra floor space for a table and chair in the room.

The location of this property within Auburn is great. It’s near the freeway and a grocery store, restaurants, and other shopping. The property has been well maintained after it’s renovation.

There was nothing we didn’t like. There are just some things we would add to make it even better. We would add things like coffee stirrers, creamer, sugar, and a few extra coffees. There was only two coffees and two teas. Also, we would add some tissue and/or an extra roll of toilet paper. That’s it!
