Motel 6-Auburn, CA

While I felt that this was one of the nicer Motel-6 motels I have stayed at, and the young man at the reception desk was very cordial and helpful, I must say the price seems high. The brand is known for simple, basic comfort at a bargain price. At $114. for the night, your customers have numerous options in the immediate area, which means you give up some of your competitive advantage. So why did I choose your motel versus the Red Lion Inn next door? Because of your policy regarding dogs. Other than that, it was a toss up. And most people are not traveling with a service dog, so they would not care.

I liked the quiet and the privacy. The staff is courteous and accommodating. From early in the morning when i locked myself out, to treating belongings with care.

Need wifi extenders in the rooms or hallways. Lol but i cant really say. Ive stayed at a lot of motel 6 across the country and this has been the best one so far.

All clean friendly good check in . Parking not good for large vehicles or RVs. No around building.

We had travel trailer, it should say at driveway no turn around or rvs something plus construction workers were threatening to have towed cause they had work but no one told us ahead a time so that added some stress to me backing out with no help from workers or motels staff. Other than that all good. Oh time to bring back coffee. Also forgot our small tv in room didn't realize for a few days. Called no one would answer phone during day hours had to call after midnight talked to night clerk. He said he didn't know. Plus someone had called back didn't leave message on way or another. When I spoke with night clerk he said he didn't know why they called. Haven't heard back about tv.

The property is nice, very clean and well kept. It’s very close to gas stations and drive thrus. The staff is so warm and helpful and courteous. They answered all of my questions with care and compassion. When I found out that the pool was closed, they empathized with my disappointment. We’re down from Oregon, seeing my girls who are with their dad for the summer and on our way to San Francisco for the 4th of July fireworks show. My oldest daughter decided she wanted to stay with us last minute and they were so accommodating, bringing extra blankets and pillows immediately 💜 I paid a very low price for this hotel and got the service I would expect at a much more expensive hotel. I will stay here every time I’m in Auburn.

That the pool was closed, but that’s not their fault lol

It was very clean and had been updated. Comfy bed and new Ikea like furniture. For those with electric cars there was a charging station with at least 4 bays in the parking lot.

Any sort of breakfast would have been nice, but understand, On that note, there was coffee in the lobby in the mornings.

We didn't expect a wonderful motel with great people working in it. Many motel 6 we go to isn't nothing like this one. We will be coming here more often. The only little problem we had was the vending machine, wanted a soft drink and it wouldn't take my money. Maybe I was doing wrong way or it was out of soft drinks. You All Rock! We will see you again!

I know you have to water grass, but I take my dogs out different times of the night. It was wet, but nothing I couldn't work around.

We stayed here because we have two dogs. It was a last-minute decision because Highway 80 was closed due to snow, so we couldn't drive to Lake Tahoe. We were very happy with our decision. Also, Starbucks is across the street!

refrigerator froze all food even at lowest setting. Smell of smoking from smoking floor was noticeable throughout the motel.

Very clean. Everything I needed for an overnight while traveling Just close enough to highway to be convenient Far enough away to have no traffic noise.

It worked for my purpose, but the tiny closet and no drawers would be inadequate if I were staying more than an overnight.

Staff was friendly and they stayed up and waited for us. We checked in early morning. Very appreciated appreciated. Great rates
