Hotel Metropole

We arrived early the day of check in but were accomodated, which was appreciated. The front desk, was welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed having the staff hold on to our bags the day of checkout. Everyone on staff were helpful. We rnjoyed mostly everything except for a few concerns.

First one was that there was hair left on our sink. The room was nice, presentable up until the hair left on sink counter. The shower can benefit in an upgrade, since the rest of the room is updated. The other concern was the hallway was so loud from early morning before 8am, with screaming parents and children. More consideration for all guests, children hitting your door or placing toys on your door is not acceptable. Besides that we would return.

Loved that the hotel is farther down the promenade and right across from the water. Loved the roof top jacuzzi with ocean view and sitting in the little courtyard below. Staff was very welcoming. Greeted with champagne in our rooms. Bed was comfy. Great shower pressure!

Jacuzzi could've been better cleaned, courtyard is cute but guests can be loud right under the rooms, air conditioning unit in the rooms cycles on loudly.

The room was of a good size. Comfortable bed. The fireplace was cool. We had a little deck where you could see the water 1 block away. We were on the top floor so it was a pretty quiet room. The location of the hotel was perfect.

For the price of the room the breakfast was inadequate. Even Holiday Inn Express offers way more selections for breakfast: eggs, bacon, pancakes by way of personalized machine. This breakfast was all cold food unless you consider a toaster hot food.

Great Hotel. At the end of Main Avalon street. Still walkable to Ferry dock. The room was decent size. Great shower, best water pressure I have had in any hotel ever. the Spa on site was great. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was warm at night. It would have been great to have a ceiling fan. No AC as it is not needed on the island. Could not sleep with the window open as there was noise from outside. But this was a minor inconvenience.

The staff did a great job of getting us in for an early check in. We really appreciated that. Requested extra towels and they were also very prompt at bringing them to our room.

Front desk staff didn't welcome us as it was our first time to the island. Didn't offer any suggestions of places to eat or where to go while we waited for our room. Also, no breakfast due to COVID, but a credit for the restaurant wasn't extended. Shorter FD hours due to COVID, which was surprising. No one at the front until 9am.

The hotel is located on the main street. Everything was easy to get to. There was a continental breakfast included and it had a good selection. It was just right for what we wanted. It was very quiet and the room was large with a fireplace. Very nice room.

There was nothing that we did not like. Definitely will stay here again.

Great location within easy walking distance of the ferry and to everything else. Lots of food and beverage options below the hotel.

There was no in-room safe to lock away passports and disappointingly there was no lock on the balcony door of Room 315 which meant we needed to carry passports with us.

Overall hotel is very nice and rooms comfy. The room doors are not very thick, so when people are walking down the corridor and talking at night it is pretty loud. Location is super convenient near shops and restaurants.

I liked how it had the New Orleans feel with all the rooftops in the balconies and everything was very close by

We had several friends staying much cheaper places but they had refrigerators and microwaves. The microwave was not necessary but when it's 100° outside the refrigerators would have been very nice to have.

I liked that although we arrived early there we were able to leave our luggage in the location.

Check in time is way too late. We were not abler to enjoy our stay on the island as according to our plans because check in times are almost half way through the day.
