Great value for location, cleanliness comfort and welcoming staff! walked to the beach! They offer free use of beach chairs, toys, boards and towels. Very comfortable and great for families. Great breakfast next door at Cappy’s.

Near to the beach. Free available chairs, boogie boards, and towels. Very clean. Well lit secure parking area.

We didn’t eat breakfast here but we walked right across the street to the beach. Perfect!

Staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great location and easy walk and access to the beach, the hotel provides beach towels, chairs, and umbrella's if needed - taking away the need to pack for the trip. The room was very clean.

The hotel is a bit dated, but had a very good paint job and bedding, and it's obvious the hotel has done things to make it less dated. The cleanliness made up for it. More outlets might be helpful for travelers with more electronic devices.

Location was the best you are going to find (for the price). Plenty of places to walk to if you don't want to drive and you're only there for a few days. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. PLUS they had beach towels/chairs/body boards available to borrow.

Shower temp was a little inconsistent, and make no mistake--this is a no-frills establishment. But if you know that going in, what is there to complain about?

I lived in Newport Beach for several years and I wanted to return to see family and friends. So I know the area very well. Newport Channel Inn is not exactly a luxury hotel but if you want a place that is in the heart of Newport Beach, close to the beach, and for a very good price, Newport Channel Inn is the place to go. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional.

The car traffic noise. But hey, for the price point, I cannot complain. I would rent from the property again and again. It was that good of a deal and an excellent experience.

we wanted a motel that was close to the beach walking distance without having to pay an arm and a leg. I have a baby and a toddler so packing up and driving isn’t there easiest. This location was perfect it was just a very small walk and bam you’re to the sand. There was a very cute restaurant right next-door, a cute coffee shop a little ways down along with more shops and restaurants. It was nice that we could borrow some body boards along with beach towels that the motel provided, too.

The only thing maybe I will complain about was that the beds were not that comfy and the blankets were like tissue paper almost they weren’t very soft. but that’s definitely not a dealbreaker the location was so awesome like I said it was very fun for my family and I.

I liked that they had a bunch of shared beach items for first come first serve use. I used one of the many body boards that were in great condition. They also had beach chairs available. I also really liked the genuine feeling care of the gentleman that checked us into our room at the front desk. Sucks I can’t remember his name. He drives a mazda cx3 tho! Thanks again my friend. Loved the water pressure and adjustable shower head. Loved that the room came with a refrigerator and microwave that we didn’t use but was there if we needed it!

I didn’t like the size of the television haha Pretty petty. Great room, great experience.

Short walk to the beach! Perfect location. Walking distance to a few restaurants and coffee shop. Really nice location. Was not overly crowded. Enjoyed the beach much more than going toward downtown Newport and Balboa. Great for kids. Saw many dolphins early in the morning. We will return

Loved being near beach very clean its not the most glamorous - but literally half price of other alternatives that i had for work. I could have even stayed at those but wanted to be near beach and uncomplicated. This was it. Outpost (Tony) is a gem and Eat / Chow i think favourite restaurant in Newport

For what i paid i couldnt fault it. Towels, lighting and hairdryer arent great but for the price would not have expected different
