Doryman's Oceanfront Inn

WOW. I stay the night in this area for work 4x a month for a few months now and this is the BEST hotel I’ve stayed in. It was so hard to leave it. The woman at the front desk was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. The entire place was spotless. The beds were SO comfortable and the fireplace in our room worked great! There are plenty of restaurants walking distance as well as a very fancy restaurant in the hotel. I have zero complaints. It’s definitely worth the money. Especially if you go for the room with the fireplace and shared patio.

Husband & I visited the Inn 4/6/2021 - 4/8/2021 for his birthday. We loved it! The Inn has 11 Rooms and they are All beautiful! We had the Suite (Room #4.) Every room is different in size, furniture, scenery and its own identity. Rooms look Victorian style. Its also a bed & breakfast. A Continental Breakfast is included with stay. Mornings in the Parlor Out by the patio area from 7:30 am - 10:30 am. They have cereal bowls, milk, orange juice, fruit cups, yogurt cups, muffins, granola bars, bagels, cream cheese, coffee, & hot water for tea or oatmeal. There is a second patio area above the Inn! Its a beautiful view! Housekeeping Staff were very nice, efficient, & helpful. Front desk staff were great, efficient, very knowledgeable about the hotel and willing to lend a hand! Shout out to front desk personnel Andrea, Lauren & E? Omg I hope I got your names correct ladies! Thank you again so very much! I think this will be our go to place to celebrate my husband's birthday every year! 100% will recommend this beautiful Inn.

Fabulous location. Walk to the pier and restaurants. Staff was exceptional. Bar and restaurant were amazing. You don't even need your car once you get there. We even walked to Balboa Island. The breakfast was a nice touch and the views were amazing.

From the very beginning, this was an excellent stay. when we got there someone had parked in the loading zone - the receptionist was so apologetic and got us a spot in the restaurant valet area - she was so friendly and helpful. The room was very large (we had the king with a patio). It also had a day bed with a trundle under it). The AC worked great when we needed it. I had heard about the noise from other reviews BUT we brought a small white noise machine and it worked beautifully. The location is central - other reviews made is seem like LOTS of noise but even when I was out on the patio it was not deafening or even that loud. The parking was such a bonus. Parking is insane around the hotel and the lot was attended and very close to the hotel. Breakfast was simple but the quality of the bagels and muffins was good. The bed was very comfortable, the best on our 2-week trip! The location was so close to the beach, and the nightly sunsets from the beach were amazing. we had a great time here and I highly recommend it.

Parking was available which was key for this area. Ocean view from room. Nice to have a roof deck (maybe add some more plants or deco?) Nice to have a breakfast area (indoor/outdoor) to sit and drink coffee/tea when family is sleeping in when you are an early riser!

It was a little bit dated. Clean and functional, good location if you are looking for the local busy vibe. Very noisy on the main drag especially Friday-Saturday nights (thankfully I brought ear plugs)

Room 4 was amazing for our overnight staycation.

beautiful historic building on the beach. the rooms were unique and upheld their time and space from early last century. just lovely! fantastic vibrant restaurant downstairs. choose the swordfish the locals recommended, I’m glad I did. incredible. the live music was great and locals were fun and friendly too. it is across from the beach for a great morning walk.

area busy after hours, I had an early work meeting I couldn’t settle for a bit due to crowd outside at the late night donut place. windows thin.
