love the location and actual hotel stayed there a few times

Badly managed. Had to come back 3 times for our room to be ready. they said it would be ready but wasn't manager didn't offer us a drink or anything as a apology. Understaffed and very badly staffed although they were nice not good for the money. Wife wife was 8 months pregnant so not a good way to start our last alone time weekend

The breakfast was great, the staff made the stay wonderful. They were prompt and complete. The facilities were top notch. Would stay there again. There was some confusion in the room, and the staff did their best to accommodate us. If we were a bit younger and not suffering with arthritis the original accommodations would have been prefect. The room's shower was wonderful, maid service was good and the text communication was very nice. It is television free property that I found refreshing, there are phonographs in every room and there is a wide selection of vinal records from early classical to jazz and some excellent oldie rock and roll classics like Jimi Hendrix "Are you Experienced" and Neil Young "Harvest", this was a wonderful surprise.

The room we requested was on the second floor, we requested a ground floor and room for a kitchenette with an ocean view but got neither. The staff, manager, gave us a major discount on our stay. The room was small, but manageable.

Decor, staff, walkability, nice pool, and vibe oh and excellent coffee!!

Lots of street noise in room, hotel staff was hard to find ( I recommend blowing out the wall behind the check in desk to open the space up so someone at the bar can greet the guests as they arrive if the front desk is empty, also maybe a soft bell at the front desk?), Breakfast is "complementary" but still billed for tax tip and for any "extras" which was easily done - it felt a bit nickel and dimming for a luxury hotel. Record player was broken - such a buzz kill after seeing all the epic vinyl downstars. Would also love easily accessible secured bike parking.

The quiet and secluded atmosphere. Plus the fun of the lobby/bar area. We played scrabbled till after the bar closed while listening to records and it was so fulfilling.

The staff was inconsistent in their service. We stayed two nights and the first night had an absolutely wonderful experience, followed by a nice morning and nice second evening — however, our second morning was lack luster. Our complimentary coffee service was forgotten and when we laid by the pool, no one seemed to have set up the area or came down to ask if we needed anything (like they usually do.) It was definitely different staff then we had but still shouldn’t be an excuse. Also, we miss Saline dinner! This place was known for their food when they first opened.

very comfy, cozy and romantic stay. the room is beautiful and cozy. bed was comfy. property is beautiful and relaxing. ocean view and great sunset to enjoy during happy hour. breakfast (included) is delicious and the bar makes amazing drinks. even a welcome drink after check in. morning coffee delivered to your room. shaw’s cove is a 2 min walk down the road. every detail is so thoughtful. staff is very helpful and kind as well. can’t wait to return!

Barely any lighting in our room? basically just the bathroom and then very very dim lighting in room area. didn’t make or break the experience though. will be back.

My partner and I loved the coffee service to our rooms. Loved the local blend that they served. The rooms are great especially if you choose one that is partially viewing the ocean. The lounge/lobby area feels homey and is a coastal dream. Eric, Brendan and Nick were really friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. There was a problem with our heater and they all were very helpful in trying to fix it and eventually helped shift our room.

The daytime staff wasn’t that friendly or helpful. There was a bit of confusion when we checked in about the reservation name and the person at the front desk person was not very helpful. Also, we had a bill issue and it seemed like there was a lot of confusion and different understanding of what the hold charge actually should be.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights during our 2 week California road trip and it was by far and away our favourite hotel! The atmosphere was very chilled and the design of both the public areas and our room was so cool. Every detail had been considered and it felt so special and relaxing to stay there. Our room was lovely and was so clean and comfortable; the staff were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious! The location was excellent too as it was not right in the most busy part of town but was just a short stroll in to the restaurants and bars along a pretty path overlooking the ocean. We both agreed that we want to come back to stay here again - and there's no greater praise than that! Just perfect!

Loved the view from our bed, the hotel's location, hospitality of the staff, the restaurant food quality and the pool. Very cool decor/fixtures in the room. My husband liked the retro turntable touch. All in all, it was the perfect end to a hectic familiy weekend, allowing us to relax after parking our car in the hotel's lot. (we had a free parking space right at the hotel!) This made it very convenient to take advantage of walking around the city and beaches and not use our car all weekend.

We had two large suitcases with us, and there was really no place to put them except the floor. I think a luggage rack for at least one of them would have helped., since there is not much drawer space in the rooms. I must confess that I miss having a TV (even a small one) in the room, although it does help to forget about all the negativity that is happening in the world!

The property was gorgeous… It felt like home… Cozy, comfortable, inviting, and just perfect for our weekend getaway! We stayed in the La Vue room, and it was perfection! We are avid, vinyl collectors, so the fact that each and every room has a record player and an amazing selection of vinyl to choose from! This will definitely be our bimonthly weekend getaway spot! The staff was phenomenal…Nick, the bartender made the absolutely most delicious cocktail… “The Greeter”! our experience was exceptional! We did not want to leave!!

Location was excellent. The hotel is clean, aesthetically pleasing. It was such a vibe throughout the hotel. Calming and beautiful. Some sweets have better views than others but considering that I booked this hotel last minute I will not complain. I could live here. Breakfast was beautiful and I love that it is included in the stay. The record player and every ounce of decor was spot on. Love the pool area and the towels.
