This beautiful location had everything you could need/want. We had the barn that has a private entry through the back garden. The garden was beautiful and the barn was perfect for my family. We were close enough to walk to the ocean and definitely recommend taking the walk down the steps to the left of church to go down to the beach. Right next to a great restaurant and a park.

Nothing that can be changed. The shower was small and poor pressure. To be expected with the age of building and water restrictions.

Located downtown Mendocino. Ideal to explore the city and the headlands. Owner and personnel very welcoming. Breakfast is very good. During our first stay, we decided to book our next :)

The room we got was very small. Coffee could be a little stronger. But facility has many options and we opted for a more spacious room for our next stay.

Breakfast was delicious and delivered in a timely manner to our room. A full carafe of coffee, huge muffins, fruit and yoghurt. The location was perfect: Overlooking the park as you enter town, and right next door to one of the best restaurants in town (Mendocino Cafe)

Our room was, I believe, the smallest. We are small people so the double bed was fine for us. If there could have been a better set-up for eating in our room, that would have been nice. The other rooms had more comfortable chairs than our room.

I like that there was the old world feel, the character & style of the original building which had not been washed out with so called "updates". On the way to your room, there is a cute cobbled walkway through tended gardens (with private sitting areas, ocean waves crashing in the distance.) Restaurants nearby are fabulous (Mendocino Cafe, Trillium, Cafe Beaujolais, Luna Trattoria (in town within walking distance) to the Ledford house in Albion and Noyo Harbor Inn in Fort Bragg, both just a few miles away. You can't beat this location: a block away from the ocean on a small village street in Mendocino.

It is not made for those with disabilities. No ramps or elevator to the rooms. If you have luggage, be prepared to haul it up stairs. No coffee machine, microwave, or fridge. But the owners are so friendly, so down-to-earth... They just bought the place right before coping with County fires, power outages (by PG&E), and then the pandemic hit... so they have had their challenges! In my book, that means give them a chance to make the improvements when they can catch their breath.

The historic Sea Gull Inn, located at the south entrance to the town of Mendocino, is easy to find. The welcoming staff, comfortable rooms and beautiful gardens make it the ideal place to stay for couples and families. The separate entries to the rooms, cleaning procedures, and healthy breakfasts add to the charm. The drive from the Bay Area is only 4-5 hours, making the town of Mendocino a good destination at any time. This was our first venture out in eighteen months. We felt comfortable staying at the Sea Gull Inn thanks to Ian and his staff. The Farmers Market, Fridays from 11-1, located in the park just across the street, is an ideal place to pick up some fresh local produce for lunch. During our four-night stay, we enjoyed a different continental breakfast each morning delivered to our room, although there are seating areas outside for everyone. Please remember that Mendocino is experiencing a drought. This is an opportunity to practice our conservation skills. We brought four gallons of our oldest emergency water for use in our room. The balance we donated to their garden. It was a good experience using less water. The reasons to stay at the Sea Gull Inn are the comfortable rooms, its location, the breakfast, and most of all the staff.

This charming B&B made me smile from the first time I laid eyes on it. My experience was so good, and because it was so good, I will be returning yearly as a regular customer. I like a cozy, home-y feel, and this is what I felt at the Seagull Inn. It was the perfect size and had everything my 2 year old and I needed. The innkeeper and housekeeper were so kind and even went out of their way to lend me a rain jacket. They also accommodated my vegan diet, which was so nice. The breakfast was very good and the MUFFINS! YUM. Counting down the days until I can go back!

Central location, ocean view, quaint, clean, and comfortable room with fresh flowers. Another nice touch was breakfast brought to our room. Loved the table and chairs on the porch too!

The bathroom in our room was very tiny. All necessities are included but it was difficult moving around and we aren’t big people.

Really enjoyed the breakfast. And the great service bringing it to our room. We ate at the outside large table seating area and it was just lovely. The gluten-free muffins were such a delicious and thoughtful bonus. The room was well appointed and beautiful. Comfortable places to sit, lots of natural light, loved the hydrangeas in the window, the greenery and driftwood benches outside our room and the ocean peaking through in the distance. Owners were so friendly and happy to do anything to help you out.

The king bed mattress in our room is ready for a replacement. We could not comfortably sleep there more than a night or two. We can appreciate the $ expense but I know for most travelers the comfort of the bed is of prime importance (especially if one is over 50.)

The location was excellent! Very quiet and convenient to everything!

The sea gull is quite old and while they have kept it very clean and maintained it lacks some of the conveniences you might look for when staying at a hotel For example bath was very small and no outlets. But overall quaint and lovely.

The Views, Tails, Shops & Restaurants we walking distance, which we Loved! Staff was Fun & Accommodating! Breakfast was Simple but Very Yummy! We also liked that it changed up a bit each morning. Wonderful Sitting areas, to accommodate a Group or individual couples. Place was nice to walk around & even stored our Bikes we brought from Home! Thats a Must if you have bikes!

Liked the Light Breakfast but a bit sad to not have a Warm Delicious Muffin each morning. We would of liked a bit more space to move about in the room but worked for the couple nights we stayed. I don't know if it happens to everyone on the property but we had a water Temperature problem while showering....Got Scorching Hot or Ice Cold randomly in the shower. A bit scary but made the best of it.
