Andril Fireplace Cottages

The movie selection was awesome. The fenced in backyard was wonderful. The grounds was kept up really well. The stocked fire wood was wonderful. I love the fact that dogs were allowed. They are apart of our family and it felt so nice to be able to include them in your vacation.

The beds were very uncomfortable. ! The pillows were terrible. Not enough cookie sheets .

Fireplace made the cottage cozy our last night. It was too warm before or I would have had a fire every night. Appreciated the non carpeting for our dogs. Liked being able to bbq in our own spacious backyard. After the first day there was a blackout but we were moved to a more updated cottage so they were wonderful about the inconvenience. I liked the full kitchen so I could cook a full breakfast. They offered juices, milk, pastries, cereal, and hot chocolate with tea and coffees which I liked but glad there was a kitchen with pots and plates and utensils since we bought groceries for days when we didn’t want to eat out. This was our second time here and won’t be our last.

Found a little basket that was left on the toaster from previous occupants and it had melted the coffee pods. Informed the front desk and able to get a replacement basket so easily resolved.

The property is absolutely charming! Our room was spacious and comfortable. We never heard anyone around us. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of flowering plants, lawn areas, lounge chairs, seating areas, etc. It is also a very short walk to Asilomar beach, which is also gorgeous. They are also dog friendly and we brought our dog, but we never heard barking dogs in the other rooms. It is very soundproof and quiet. We visit Monterey and Pacific Grove often because our boys live here. We have definitely found our new haven. Kudos to the management!

The breakfast was minimal, i.e., a continental breakfast, but sufficient to get your day started.

Andril Fireplace Cottages were comfortable and convenient for our stay, with walking distance down to the beach. The area felt safe and our 8 and 10 year old were happy to explore the communal areas. The large grass area was great for playing frisbee or games and our cottage was situated next to this area so easy for kids to go out and play. We used the large communal gas bbq one night, which was great and easy to use.

We had a smaller cottage and it was cramped for the four of us with big suitcases. Perhaps more suit to older families. The kitchen was sufficient but it could have benefitted from some items such as cooking oil to make it less of a hassle when only self catering for 4 nights out of a 21 night holiday.

The cottages were comfortable and private. We used the kitchen for our bbq dinner and breakfast. The kitchen had just enough room and equipment to allow for this benefit. The bed was great , and the chairs comfortable for tv or reading.

The fire place smoked us out the first night with the wind and weather conditions. Had to open the door for awhile. Truly for ambiance, not for heat. Had to ask for a shower curtain, no big deal, just forgotten while cleaning. The stove drawer has no separation from the heating element. My husband almost burned himself.

I have stayed at many properties in Pacific Grove and they have been junk(see my prev reviews). This property is my favorite! From ck in to ck out the staff is very accommodating. They deliver the newspaper to your cottage every morning, you can grab a lite breakfast and a coffee in the office. It’s a short walk to Asilomar beach and walking trails along the ocean. I rented a 1 bedroom king cottage which was like an apartment with a full kitchen and outside patio. Very quiet and clean. Made a fire every night and they replenish your wood every morning. Took a hot tub in the evenings that felt amazing. They are dog friendly and have a large grassy play area. My cottage did not back to that area so it was private and quiet.😊 It’s in a great location, short drive to downtown. A great place, finally!🙌

Only a few recommendations; have adult only hot tub time from 8-9:30, have a foot wash to rinse off the sand, let guests know that u can’t have a fire and turn on the heater without smoking up the unit (you must have windows open), and the light/fan switch needs to be separate from the kitchen light ( it was so bright and if I turned it off, the fan went off).

It is the perfect accommodation for our family and pet. We like our cottage with fully equipped kitchen and it is walking distance from the beach. It has an EV charging station too which is very convenient. The Asilomar State beach is amazing and we all love it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We will book again in the future!

I cannot really think of anything in terms of the accommodation, facilities and staff members but if there is one thing probably improve on the breakfast grab and go or just do a variety of items.

Beautiful and convenient location, cozy property with everything you may need during your stay. Friendly and helpful staff. It’s surrounded by beautiful and meticulously taken care of grounds. Short walk away from my favorite beach. This will be my new go to place in Pacific Grove / Monterey.

Everything was great. The only improvement it could use is to eventually update the appliances (such as the fridges etc, having said that, they function well and are clean, so it’s not really an issue) and the water faucets especially the one in the kitchen. Another thing to be mindful of is if you are staying on the ground floor, you will be hearing your neighbors stomp.

Loved everything about it. Very quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Fireplace was a huge bonus with free firewood. It was so much better than renting a hotel room. Will definitely stay again and will recommend these cottages to everyone. So much better than pictured. Exceeded our expectations!

Honestly I couldn't say one bad thing about the place itself. The drive up the hill and the fog were the biggest issue but that has nothing to do with the Andril Cotteges.
