The location of the hotel was ideal for catching morning walks on the beach and watching the waves.

It was a motel not a hotel and although we paid for location, it was old. When we left for the morning to do our activities we told housekeeping so our room would have towels and be ready. When we returned 5 hours later, we still had to wait and wound up resting in our car because we weren’t allowed in our room as they finally finished their housekeeping. That was a little annoying.

The motel had a perfect location next to Lovers Point Beach, one of the most iconic beaches in the whole Monterey area. There is easy and fast access to the coastal trail and to the 17-Mile Drive. You can walk a few blocks to (a) the very nice Pacific Grove natural history museum, (b) the cute downtown area of Pacific Grove, and (c) Pavel's bakery, which has the best chocolate croissant on the planet (and one of the best cinnamon rolls and bear claws). There was usually parking close to the room, and on the one night there wasn't, we could park in their underground garage. For my money, Pacific Grove is the best place to stay in the whole Monterey area, at least for a price ordinary mortals can afford. You can find cheaper motels in Monterey, but not nearly as convenient to all the attractions. Our room was also a nice surprise, with lots of hot water, a fridge and microwave, very handy for leftovers from Pacific Thai restaurant, our go-to place for delicious, fairly-priced food while there.

There was not very good service. We got only 3 pillows and couldn't get an extra pillow for a couple of days. Also, there was no changing of the towels -- still COVID protocols. We had to ask for towels twice.

Great location, next to coastal trails, 10 - 30 minutes walking distances to piers, Monterey Aquarium, restaurants, Canary Row, other attractions. Short driving distances to 17 miles Drive, downtown Monterey, etc.

Minor issue with most rooms facing west are very warm in the afternoon. With no A/C in rooms so we leave door and windows open, and fans on high for a few hours to cool down while enjoy partial views of coastal park. I think if staffs turn on fans and partially open all windows, and close blind curtains to block off sunlight, these will help alleviate the heat when guests check in. A plus if windows can be partially open to allow heat out and locked for security. Next time, we will bring our own window locks, or a wooden Dow long enough for windows.

Perfect location easy walk to the beach. very clean room. Very spacious didn’t feel cramped. Great stay would recommend to others.

Everything was great. No complaints about the accommodations. The down side was the second day we were gone all day and when we came back our keys didn’t work and had to get new ones.

The location of the property is fabulous. I got one of the updated rooms and that was wonderful. I like the view from my room. I like the housekeeping staff.

Front office staff was not friendly and not welcoming. It seemed as if I was bothering them when I checked in. No friendly smiles, no welcome to Monterey/Pacific Grove. No, we hope you enjoy your stay. Nothing! Since I am a customer on record at this hotel I was definitely expecting much more from the front office staff. If this was my first stay there, it possibly could be my last. That’s how unimpressed I was with the front office. The other thing I don’t understand about this property is that the grounds around the hotel are filthy! The staff needs to take more pride in their parking lot / driveway and the surrounding area. It doesn’t take much to walk around daily and pick up trash and throw it properly away. A once weekly/ monthly power wash of said areas would make a huge difference.

Great location, could see Lovers Point Beach from our room. The room was spacey and was plenty of room for 2 of us. It was clean when we got there and had the prefect amount of towels.

Parking could be a bit of trouble if you have a large car. There’s spots in the front of the hotel but not many, so we had to go into the parking garage underneath the Inn which is very small. Thankfully, it worked out fine for us.

Lovers Point Inn is across the street from the park with the same name, right on the water. Quiet, medium-large room with fridge and microwave and silly coffee maker. The view from our window was the ocean.

The beds. It seemed as though they were old mattresses with a thick cover to mask the dips. I kept falling into a groove. The place is in need of a makeover. Kind of run down. I understand that because of Covid they don’t have their continental breakfast. But other hotels provide guests with a brown bag with juice, apple, muffin…SOMEthing. Not here. Disappointing.

The Hotel is good. essential but good. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not served. Cleaning is ok. To make it even better I suggest adding one table or a desktop to work on the computer in the room and to serve breakfast.
