el PRADO

There are many things to like about El Prado — our beautiful and spacious room, the terrific location just off the older downtown area with several restaurants and shops that is easily walkable. My favourite though was the lovely bar on the second floor where we went to share a great charcuterie board and two delicious cocktails when we arrived at 9pm feeling peckish after a long flight from Montreal. The bar is cosy with several comfortable upholstered armchairs and couches set up in sitting areas for a tête-a-tête for two or for small groups; just the perfect spot for relaxed drinks after work or to welcome two tired travellers.

The location of the hotel is truly great. You're literary in the center of Palo Alto, a few minutes walk from literary anything you would want and need. The staff was nice and helpful, always there to greet and say something nice. The room was good, I'd highlight a very comfortable bed and a good TV with a million options. Everything was clean and nice. WIFI worked great without stopping for a second.

The rooms don't come with a coffee machine or a kettle The hotel does offer coffee and tea for three hours a day on the 3rd floor. There is no breakfast area so you can only do room service breakfast.

The breakfasts were fantastic! The room had a balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the courtyard. I sat out there and ate my breakfast. The room itself was stunningly beautiful and meticulously maintained with maid service every day. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The Staff were awesome and the rooms were very pretty and clean. The location of the hotel was also fantastic as it was basically in the city centre. I will definitely stay here again

They kept debiting my card daily and by the time I checked out, they had placed a hold on my card that was twice the amount of the duration of my stay which was annoying and would have been very inconveniencing if I had to travel on a trip and stay at another hotel.

Excellent location just off university avenue in Palo Alto. Very comfortable hotel.

Lacks a little character. The lobby is at the back and so the hotel feels a little soulless. The renovation done in recent years has stripped the charm that used to be the former Garden Court Hotel. The Graduate hotel around the corner is a lot more interesting.

The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The bathroom soap and shampoo smell amazing!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and each room is missing something another room has. For example, not every bathroom has a vanity mirror. Also, the clocks are not accurate. They could also do a little more for breakfast options.

You will love padding down the hall in your slippers and robe to your morning coffee without the elevator trip! Such a nice luxury. We went looking for ice and found someone to help right around the corner who brought ice plus glasses, and other essentials with a smile. The room was so lovely, a design marvel of accents, symmetry, and comfort. The whole place has well appointed event spaces, beautiful color schemes, lovely plant vibes, and indoor/outdoor living. It doesn't get much better.

This is a charming small hotel that was less expensive and much nicer than the Sheraton that hosted the conference I was attending.

Nothing. I might have said the need to use room service for breakfast, but there was no special room service addon (only a tip built in). So even here I won't complain.

excellent location near restaurants and shops on university avenue. hotel staff friendly and professional. greeted all times politely. hotel room is outstanding. luxury and beautiful. very comfortable stay and worth the money spent!

Location, decor, condition and comfort were very good. It would be my first pick to stay if I was in the Palo Alto area again.

The fitness center was small and didn't have any exterior windows but the weather was nice outside so I ran outside and it was wonderful.
