Hampton Inn Petaluma, Ca

Love love love the presentation of the hotel. Super high ceilings (we stayed on the ground floor) and beautifully decorated. Loved the style. The breakfast annex was gorgeous.

Staff told us to park at the complete opposite end of the hotel in relation to our room - then directed us to a locked door that the card wouldn't open. Result was dragging 2 kids, four cases and bags around for 10minutes extra. Breakfast staff started packing up 10 minutes before the end of breakfast and had shut off the area bang on 10am making us feel rushed to finish and get out.

Beautiful hotel built within an old historical brick building! The exterior doesn't look like a hotel, but once inside they completely nailed it. They kept the historical vibe going with completely updated and contemporary decor. Loved the high ceilings everywhere, and the staff was great. Breakfast was very good. Location is near downtown and all restaurants/attractions.

Nothing I didn't like, but just note that this is an old brick building that retains the cold, so you might have to put the heat up a bit. Also any room near the ice maker is subject to the hum of it continuously, but it's really not that bad.

The bed and pillows were comfortable that my partner and I were able to fall asleep quickly. The exercise room has free weights along treadmills, weight balls, and a full body workout machine. Breakfast was more than a continental breakfast of danishes, bagels, and muffins. Location is close easy walk to downtown and has free parking. The most surprising aspect of the hotel is how quiet it given that the train station is near by.

The bathroom ventilation system isn't that great that the humidity from a hot shower tends to create condensation on the windows.

The building is absolutely gorgeous. They decorated it beautifully and the dining hall is spacious and comfortable. Our room was very nice and there are places in the hotel to sit. They also have a gym. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is about .7 miles from downtown so we were able to explore the area nearby. There is a Starbucks a few blocks away but we really loved walking to Grand Central Petaluma Coffee on Weller street (you can sit by the river).

Love that the building is an old silk mill. Great character and the design features the building's history. Bed super comfy. Staff were very helpful. Place was very clean. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast offerings, but they looked yummy. Would stay again.

Bathroom could benefit from more hooks and towel racks. Nowhere near sink to place hand towels. Also, extra towels would be helpful.

The breakfast was really good! It even had good option for vegans and other dietary preferences. We appreciated the variety of fresh fruit, the option of regular or whole grain bagels, the availability of almond milk and healthy toppings with the oatmeal, (like dried berry mix and slivered almonds).

The decor was a bit utilitarian. We would have appreciated a few soft touches to offset the austerity and hardness of the otherwise wonderfully repurposed old brick walled silk factory. Even the bed cover/comforter was heavy and firm, a light feather comforter would have been appreciated.

The property is really unique. Very clean. The breakfast room and the breakfast were great. Location was perfect. Loved the history and the incorporation of the old with the new. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was a little small. I like a little more counter space and I like to put my clothes in drawers. We made do and made it work.

Great converted hotel from a mill with lots of original features. Such comfortable beds and rooms. Very quiet and very clean Petaluma is a fun little town to spend a night. Good choice of restaurants.

Breakfast was included which is great. Shame plastic cutlery. Disposable just seems so wrong.

The breakfast it was good for a continental breakfast. Food was hot a there was quite a variety to choose from. We were on a time constraint the first couple of days of our stay so it was very nice to get breakfast right there and be on your way.

This is an excellent repurposing of an historic silk mill. The upgrades and decor are excellent. Good dining area for breakfast. Pleasant staff.

Heating controls in a corner room with 4 windows and high ceilings took some getting used to, but we warmed the room up.
