Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Diego North/San Marcos

Breakfast was good but it could have used some potatoes. Clean rooms are a big plus. The staff was very friendly and professional. I choose this location over many beachfront properties because of the safety of the parking lot and the protection of my vehicle. Although it is not ideal, it is much safer than many other choices.

There isn't much to not like about this location. If I'm going to be picky, they could have upgraded the toilet paper. Very poor quality and I was very surprised to find they supplied just about the worst one could buy. But it wasn't a deal breaker.

Breakfast was good but ran out of eggs on the last day that we were there.

When checking in, front desk mentioned that someone would be there 24/7 so I didn’t have to worry when checking out around 4:00am. When I was trying to check out, I kept trying to look around the front desk area and call out to get someone’s attention and having my spouse call “0” on the phone to get someone to the front desk. Spouse called multiple times without anyone picking up. It took over 10 minutes for someone to come to the front to help me check out. The person was very nice but I was lucky that we had some time to spare.

Location was within minutes of the venue for my sons wedding. Front desk staff were amazing with my constantly changing arrival time. They went above & beyond to get me an early check in which I was unable to utilize but it was there should I have been able to find a few minutes to run over and check in. When I did finally arrive late in the evening, they were so charming & inviting! Room was clean, cozy & exactly what my weary mom of the groom needed to sleep for the night. Thank you

That I had to walk back to my car to put a parking pass on the dashboard but that had more to do with the fact that my feet hurt than anything else!!!

Everything about this hotel was very lovely. Breakfast included hot food, waffles, eggs. bacon. Coffee is available 24 hours a day. The decor is very nice, cheerful and bright, warm and welcoming. The staff were beyond compare. They were welcoming, helpful, attentive. This is not luxury hotel, just a standard Fairfield Inn, but it was such nice place to stay, that I would recommend it to anyone.

We woke up very early to several people yelling and playing in the pool. I assumed the pool would open around 10. I asked someone that worked there the next day what time the pool opens in the morning. They said 6 AM. That is just way too early to be woken up by hours of kids yelling and talking loudly. Pools always carry sound.

The service and accommodating staff especially Melissa exceeded out expectations . They went above and beyond our needs for a wedding weekend . It was also exceptionally clean with a full staff to help in any way at any time. They also were Always happy to help with any details even from the first booking call that I made . I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and if you are looking to book you won’t get any better !

Clean, good location, comfy beds, big bathroom, free breakfast

Breakfast area was not stocked well. Coffee was out, juice ran out, minimum options for Breads, fruit, and yogurts. Seemed like one person couldn't keep up with restocking.

Breakfast was good only recommendation would be to have fresh fruit cuts! Location was great, close to work. Actually it was my first time in CA and I was very impressed with San Diego, Carlsbad, and of course Malibu
