Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown

The room was very comfortable. The view for the fireworks was spot on! The location was in easy driving distance to Disneyland

Housekeeping forgot to bring us towels after we called. They never showed up with the requested towels. We went to the front desk and told them and they stated they would make sure the towels would be delivered. Valet service could have been better. We pulled up our last evening and there were 4 valets standing and talking. A few looked right at us and didn't come to our car. 2 other cars pulled up a bit after us (a Mercedes and a Land Rover) and the valets were quick to attend to those 2 cars. I had to get out of my car before the valet came to me. This has never happened before.

Clean room and bathroom, comfortable & clean bed, silent floor. Wi-Fi working OK. The "Market" was very helpful in the Lobby with a large variety of food & beverages. Desk staff was helpful and polite. Check-in and out was very fast and efficient.

Neighborhood is not really the safest place I have ever been to, but the hotel has a strong security deployment at the entrance. Please, do something for your breakfast. It was not at all at the right level. 2 blocks away (Breakfast Republic) you could find cheaper and way, way better!

You couldn't ask for a better location in San Diego. Nice walk to a lot of places downtown. The room was beautiful. Lots of space, clean bathrooms, good linens, comfortable bed. A/C is positioned so it didn't blow on the bed. A really nice place to stay!

Breakfast could have been included. Parking was expensive. Homelessness is really a problem in San Diego, not the hotel's fault, you are in the heart of things... naked dude on the corner, stepping over "dog poop" and other discomforts took away from the city a little. The hotel did a great job keeping the area in front of it clean.

The front desk staff was fantastic! Friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Especially Vanessa! She set us up in the top floor room and it made our trip! We couldn’t thank her enough. She was great! The room we were in was spacious and very comfortable and had an awesome view of the Gaslamp Quarter and the Bay. The building was very cool and had lots of character and the doormen were very attentive and friendly guys.

The lobby bar was quite pricey, but you have to pay to play I guess…

I had no idea about the historic nature of the building and was delighted to see how well the old architecture and modern hotel were merged. Very friendly front desk people. Will come again.

There was the tiniest hole in my bed cover, very small (room 417) but I did notice. Hard to find any fault, but if I have to... well it's that the words on the shampoo/conditioner and shower gel bottles are pale green on a pale gray background, anyone who wears glasses would not be able to read the words, and who wears glasses in the shower? I had to go back to get my glasses to read the labels before continuing with my shower.

The hotel is lovely

The Booking.com agent that I spoke to lied to me and told me that she spoke to the hotel, while she put me on hold. She said that the front desk confirmed that I could pay for the room with Marriott points as long as I told them at check-in. However, there was no record of this call and if she had called, they wou6have told her that you can't use Marriott points to pay for a room unless you book directly through Marriott. So I was slapped with a bill that I was not prepared to pay.

hotel is clean, safe, comfortable and located near Gaslamp area but with less noise. Staff are extremely cooperative especially Micheal and Deia this hotel is recommended.

as most of US now, no breakfast, but this was not issue as restaurants are close by and there is not be restaurant at the hotel itself

Perfect location for night life. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance Accommodating staff, provided extra toiletries upon request to the room. Have to request for room service at check in or early in the morning. Room key card is used to access elevators after hours. Check out was at noon.

$50 valet per night (competitive pricing) - plus side : in and out privileges. valet had car ready working 15 mins of texting the code. Alternative parking- public parking on the next street over.

although we had a small problem in the initial room, we were assigned. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly. However, the front desk staff immediately changed us, and were incredibly accommodating and embarrassed about this mishap.

This is an actual bank, a historic bank in downtown san diego Is the real marble the old solid Wooden doors are fantastically sturdy and historic and wonderful Beyond beyonce of being in a building built in the nineteenth Nineteen twenties is amazing
