Hotel Sunrise

It’s in a great location and it’s clean. It’s only a couple minutes from the metro and the mission district is awesome. You can also take several trams to downtown. There’s a refrigerator and a microwave and a hair dryer. The property is much cheaper than others around and it has a private bathroom. I think people just leave bad reviews because they pay little money but somehow expect stay at a five-star hotel. This place is exactly are they advertise it.

My hair dryer was broken which was annoying. That’s about all. There’s no elevator there but why would it be it’s an old San Francisco style house. This is a very European thing so I’m used to that but I could see why somebody would big suitcases would be annoyed.

I was a little nervous about the hotel, but it turned out to be great. The room was large and was well equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was clean and had nice windows to open for fresh air. Perfect for a quick stay. The area was very convenient with a small market near by for water, etc.

As expected, the street noise is pretty loud, but it was not a deal breaker. The bathroom had minimal supplies so I recommned bringing your own soap, etc. I would stay again for a quick trip. Anything more than a few nights I would book something nicer because the beds were not the best on my back.

Our stay was very pleasant. + daily room service / clean towels etc. + amazing location with BART at a 5-min walking distance + lots and lots of nearby restaurants/bars + the staff was friendly + wi-fi was quite fast + they keep your luggage after check out

- Hot water was not working when we arrived but it got fixed after a few hours so... not a problem at all - The street can be a bit noisy during the night but we slept - The mattress was not the most comfortable but still acceptable

The room was great - clean and big enough. It had its own fridge, microwave, shower and toilette. We even had a coffeemaker and a hairdryer. That was unexpected.

The zone is not good - at night it is filled with homeless and drug addicts. We took a taxi right to the hotel's door to avoid any encounters.

I used this place just to sleep and I was very satisfied with my stay. It was quiet, cheap, and was in walking distance to the areas I wanted to go out in, BART, etc. it also had really cool shops and food in the area. I’ve seen previous posts complaining about the homeless people outside and the noise, during my stay there were no homeless people outside and it was very very quiet during the day and night. The building is old so it’s not going to look as nice as a brand name hotel but you get what you pay for! The bed was comfortable, shower, TV, all of it was great.

Like I said, I used this place just to sleep so I have no complaints about anything.

Close to Bart and easy to move around. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Close to downtown. Even though I thought area was not going to be the safest it turned out to be quite easy to walk around. The Hotel was clean and the lady would often come to offer towels and cleaning the room.

The wifi was not the best and the fact rooms were tiny sometimes you could hear noises from the room or the outside, but it is usually quiet at night.

The best part was the location. Although the area looks a bit sketchy, it is great since it’s very very close to BART, which makes it convenient to not book an Uber there but take the train instead (unless you have to do it in the early morning or late night!) I was able to move around very easily from it to other places around the bay using public transport The room is small but comfortable

It has too many steep stairs and no elevator, so keep that in mind if you’re traveling with heavy equipment. Also it has no breakfast service.

Location can’t be beat. It was surprisingly quiet, I brought earplugs and never used them. Small but functional. Loved that it had a mini fridge and microwave

If you have a car it might be a big headache parking in this area No elevator.

Private rooms, private bathroom, amazing price, probably the best value in SF. Location is perfect because you can walk to many places without climbing at all. Walking distance to everything except the g.g bridge. (And even so, it's just about 7km away to the parks)

Well it's not a hotel, It's a hostel and as a hostel it's very good but as a hotel it's just...not.

Location is great! Price is cheap! Service is not bad! Cleanliness is reasonable! You got what you paid. I think it is a fair deal!

Should have included a small table in the room, the picture did have one but in fact it was missing!
