Holiday Inn Express & Suites - San Jose Airport, an IHG Hotel

I was in San Jose to attend a conference. The location of this hotel can't be any better. It is close to the airport and downtown as well. The public transport is just 1 minute of walking from the hotel. The complementary breakfast is really good. There were also a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the room.

I asked them a question on booking.com but unfortunately did not get any answer. Although on-site employees were really helpful. But they should also put some attention online. No liquid handwash was provided. Although they provided solid soap, I prefer the liquid one.

my $50 deposit has never been returned to me and is still pending on my card. they have not been able to tell me why

Staff super nice and room was clean. Loved the brand of shampoo and toiletries. Hairdryer worked awesome. Seemed like a safe area. Pancakes were yummy.

The breakfast. The eggs were super salty and the sausages were dry and overcooked by a lot! The non brand jam was not good and the hard boiled eggs had a weird taste. The elevators were a little dirty. Same candy and dirt on floor the next day when we checked out. The signage for our room number was incorrect. Arrow points in opposite direction of room.

The breakfast was superb. I usually just eat oatmeal, but when presented with fresh fruit, cheese omelette, turkey sausage,, and whole grain English muffin, I made it a major meal. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom quite serviceable. We appreciate basins and toilets being at adult heights. The free airport shuttle was timely and the driver courteous.

The only problem with the room was the difficulty in adjusting room temperature. We just finally turned off the heater/AC which was blowing too much cold air. Once it was turned off, the room temp was fine all night long.

Front desk was not super friendly. They were impatient about my questions and requests. The sink drain was giant, big enough for a toothbrush to drop into with no lid on it. The front desk seemed very used to this and was not helpful at all. Instead providing any help, the front told me that they won’t charge me a thing as if it’s not the sink’s problem at all😅

The room overall was nice, the size was perfect for my family and I. Having access to breakfast and coffee was also nice. There are quite a few food places nearby

Although the room was nice, there were little details like crayon marks on the walls, small dirty areas. One of the charger outlets couldnt be used because it was crooked. We also have the same breakfast for three days, it wouldve been nice if they switched it up. The restroom floor also seemed dirty.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms were wonderful.

The indoor pool was very cold! No one was swimming the whole time we were there because it was too cold. We booked this hotel for the pool and we very disappointed! Also the pancakes were not served due to a broken dispenser the whole time we were there

We booked this room when our flight out of SJC was canceled. The shuttle picked us up within minutes and the staff was sympathetic to our situation. They allowed early check-in and provided a last-minute shuttle when we were able to get an earlier flight. The hotel and room were extremely clean. The staff made us feel like our needs were important and a priority to them.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Everything from a microwave to really well working refrigerators in the room. The breakfast was actually better than expected. I would definitely stay here again. Very accommodating to one’s wants and needs in a hotel.

Tried to go swimming during the evening but I felt the pool temperature could have been a little warmer, but that is just my preference.

Loved the balcony. I was surprised our room had one. I guess I didn't look too much into the details when I booked our trip. Sitting on the Balcony watching the planes take off was relaxing! The food was really good and a lot of options for breakfast!

The parking was a bit crowded so there were a few times we had to park away but it wasn't that big of a deal. No real faults at this place!
