Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott San Jose Airport

Appreciated the close proximity to the airport and free hotel parking in their large lot. Also utilized their complimentary airport shuttle with no problems. The surrounding food & coffee shops were nice to have so close by to walk to. Being on the rail line was good for convenience too. The king room with balcony had a nice view of the pretty pool area. It was a large room with good A/C and bath facilities. Enjoyed watching the giant TV. Was also great to have the fridge & microwave.

If you're planning to have a day at the pool, like I did, you're limited to gas station snacks if you don't want to venture far to get things. I also had to use Door Dash to drop off my booze because there isn't a place selling any nearby.

Pool and spa. Bed was great. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Convenient and good choice of restaurants in same parking lot. Good location. Good door security. Shampoo and conditioner was decent. TV was very large and worked well. Controller seemed clean. It really was a very nice place to stay!

Maid service was mostly just a change of towels and sheets. In general room was clean, it just felt like carpets needed cleaning.

The room was beautiful, very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The pool and the hot tub were awesome! Very nice garden!

What I did not like were the plastic dishes for breakfast - this is not environmentally-friendly. Besides the breakfast room was cooled down too much, it was so frosty one could not spend a lot of time in there which is not environmentally-friendly either, plus I would have wished healthier options. The noise of the construction by the pool was not very pleasant, I would have appreciated an information in advance.

From the shuttle driver, Duong, to the property manager, Maii, everyone seemed to go out of their way to assure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Any question that I asked was answered with helpful information and a smile and the staff learned my name. It was nice that the warm jacuzzi was open later than at many hotels. For breakfast I liked the hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit options, which helped me stay with my eating plan, but I saw that a wide variety of hot and cold entrees were available. After returning to our room, I stepped outside the patio door to look at the pool and hot tub, and I was pleasantly surprised to a find a softly cushioned lovesest shaded by trees and a flowering landscape in full bloom. This quiet retreat was a perfect place for me to read a book and catch up on some work for a few hours with my feet up and a cup of hot coffee in front of me. I found the outdoor seating scattered throughout the attractively landscaped grounds to be a nice bonus. Later in the morning I encountered a well dressed robot who was a little shy, but very cute, as he silently went about his delivery. Although there is not a restaurant on site, it was great to walk across the parking lot and find several stores and food establishments. I was surprised that the convenience store next door carried a huge variety of packaged trail mixes and gourmet packaged nuts that worked out perfectly for a gift basket I was putting together. I was also able to pick up food items to bring in the car for our planned drive up the California coast. I liked using the free airport shuttle, because it eliminated the trouble of an Uber or a rental car, since I was meeting up with family and did not need a vehicle.

I enjoyed this property and will return.

Seemed like newly remodeled room, was one of the nicer rooms I have stayed in here. Minus super squishy bed. I have stayed here a lot. Great location to Starbucks and some food choices. Staff has always been very friendly. I like the balcony options. I do like this hotel don't get me wrong. They do have security, makes you feel safe. Pool and hot tub were open and very nice and clean, I didn't swim in it but did take a look.

Our bed was very squishy. Had a 3 night stay and by 3rd day. My back was not liking that bed at all. I have stayed here quite a bit and it's getting more expensive it seems every time I visit. $116 or $119 + tax a night is a little extreme. I stay particularly for balcony. Didn't like fact I was on bottom not really balcony and right a pool. Not very private.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was super nice and helpful. Someone might think it’s not the greatest part of town but it was perfect for catching our flight out the next morning. plus they offer a stay, park and fly package with shuttle to the airport.

The only thing that concerned me at first sight was the outside remodeling and the homeless guy walking around, but there were no problems and I’m sure the remodel will be nice when it’s done.

The room was well appointed and the shower in the bathroom was one of the best I've experienced in my business travels. The breakfast was far more than one would normally expect with a very good selection. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the hotel is one of the closest to the airport which can't be much more than a half mile away.

Street access can be a pain due to the long signals and the necessity of a U-turn if your going the wrong direction.

The staff was friendly but professional. The room were very clean, my stay was very peaceful.

This is not their fault because of coronavirus there is no breakfast at this time on the plus side there is a Starbucks on the property. There in a Denny’s up the street.

Really nice to have the airport shuttle, also the starbucks and restaurants across the street made things easy for food and drink. Also they were able to check me in early so I had access to my room before 3pm

unfortunately I had the room next to the gym, so I was awake at 0530 listening to someone noisily slam weights down - consider moving the weight rack away from that adjoining wall

Great place to stay if you have an early flight. They have a free shuttle that gets you to the airport in about 5 min. Free breakfast 6-9am. Good spread... eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee/tea, hot chocolate, pastries, etc. Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi was good. Staff was nice. Great places to eat close by (across the parking lot). Good all around!

Lockbox in our room didn't work. You had to walk outside to get from the lobby to our building (got very cold in winter) and there was no elevator in our building.
