Sonesta Select San Jose Airport

Loved the renovation to the lobby. I liked how you need a key to enter the property making it safe for guests and workers.

The refrigerator in my room was leaking. Housekeeping did walk in my room while I was blowing drying my hair right next to the door because the sink/mirror is right next to the door and I was in my towel. Kind of surprising because you could hear I’m blow drying my hair so you should know there’s someone in the room and it was 9am 2 hours before check out. I was there for 3nights and my room was never refreshed with new towels at least. Not sure if you have to request for a refresh or not. But other than that my stay was satisfying.

Great avocado toast and coffee in the morning. Cafe has a limited hours open, small menu. But good eateries are either walking distance or short shared ride away. Basic but comfortable hotel for the busy traveller. Can't beat proximity to airport and the 24 hour free shuttle service. Clean spacious rooms, cozy beds. Very friendly helpful staff. I've stayed here many times over the years when hotel was a Courtyard. Still my preferred location to overnight when San Jose is my travel hub, Sonesta carries the same hospitality and provides good service.

No problems. They do have a parking fee, $18 a night. But I joined Sonesta's loyalty program, so my car was free last time I stayed.

i always choose this hotel every time I visit San Jose. (four times in 2023)

My flight departs at mid night so i usually ask for a late checkout around 4pm . As checking in, I noticed the front desk and paid extra $46. But room service knocked my room for couple of times since 1-3pm and asked me to checkout. It happened twice when i stayed here. Seem like the communication between front desk and room service isn't good.

great location, quick shuttle to the airport, and quiet since next to the airport and didn’t hear anything really.

The unfortunate thing is that the place is understaffed. The front desk lady was bombarded with check ins as well as a guest who was not patient with her so the check in process took quite a long time. Once it was our turn, she was kind and helpful. Our room was on the opposite side of the complex so that wasn’t fun after having waited so long to check in. The rooms could use non disposable cups to reduce waste and another wastebasket in the bathroom so when ladies need to dispose of intimate items, they don’t have to carry it out to the sink area. Otherwise the room was good and suited our needs. The breakfast area was not open when we checked out which also wasn’t good since that was part of the room we paid for.

Restaurant & Bar in the hotel lobby was not open, probably due staffing/post covid situations. The shuttle service to the airport was very good and convenient for our overnight stopover in San Jose. Drivers were very courteous and efficient as was the approximately 6 minute drive from/to the SJC Airport. This was one of the reasons we booked this hotel, due to late arrival and early departure flights. It was good to know that the shuttle service ran from 4:00 AM - 11:00 PM daily seven days a week. Front desk service was great, personnel were very friendly and helpful regarding hotel amenities and off site dining options. The room (214), was great in terms of updated contemporary furniture, light fixturing, large bathroom space and walk-in shower. The room looked out at the pool area and inner courtyard, giving it a sense of privacy, and very sound proof against roadway noises of the Hwy 87 & the Guadalupe Pkwy. Something that we came across (for future travel), was the in-house guest laundry room, which would come in handy for trips longer than a week. Although we were there for less than 24 hrs., this was a great night's stay, and definitely a place to remember the next time we're in San Jose.

Can't say anything bad about this hotel property, we were not here long enough to make that decision. All that we did experience was very positive and we will consider this hotel, when we decide to return to San Jose California.

Jessica who greeted me on the phone- checked me in- and picked me up after dropping off the rental car. my background is recruiting- Silicon Valley in The 80’s, Intuit- I was in their dungeon, when there were three employees because Scott had run out of cash(prior to John Doerr’s investment) and Cisco when the Accounting department under Henry N. and one of my guys was setting up the General Ledger…point being- I know good people and have a track record going back to the 80’s of identifying and placing the best- Jessica at Sonesta is a diamond- and I want to duly recognize her and state my background of success with some of the top companies that exist today because of my ability to recognize talent!!! I give her 6 stars out of 5!!

Conveniently located near SJC, the hotel's location is great for easy access to the SJ's technology triangle area, and easy access to airport. The facility has been refreshed and the look/feel is great. Room's modern furniture and comfortable bed was icing on the cake.

As expected, hotels figure out how to nickel and dime and this one is no exception - daily fee for parking during a time of year with AMPLE parking. No convenient street parking to avoid the onsite parking fee.

This is are second time staying here and is a very good place very comfortable and clean we really enjoyed are stay.

We really enjoyed our stay the only thing we didn't like is we stayed on the 3rd floor in the back facing the highway you will hear a lot more noise coming from the Highway and the airport other than that it was an amazing state

Location was good. Breakfast was good too.

I was using my credit card over the phone to pay for my friend's stay in your hotel. But your hotel staff would not accept my credit card unless they could physically get hold of my card. I think this policy truly presented burden on the payor as well as the guest staying in your hotel. This seems a very inconvenient payment method.

The beds were quite comfortable. There was hardly anyone staying there at the time, so we didnt have any loud neighbors. Everything was clean

For the fact that we were one out of a few people staying there, it would have been nice it they would have given us a room with a view of anything other than the highway.
