La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Santa Rosa Sonoma

The hotel was built in 2020 so the facilities still looked "new" . Very clean room and light colours which added to the brightness. Location was just off the 101 highway but we couldn't hear any traffic. It's about a 5 min drive and 10 min bike ride to downtown restaurants. Across rom Santa Rosa avenue is a big mall with Trader Joes. Breakfast was ok. Very comfortable bed and pillows. In fact we tried to buy the pillows but they didn't have any new inventory in hand. The front desk person Michelle went out of her way & tried very hard to find us pillows and even offered to ship them to our place of residence in British Columbia.

The modern yet cozy decor, the cleanliness, the comfortable beds, the free breakfast and the friendly staff. In addition, the attention to detail on what the customer may need. For example, make up remover wipes, sanitizing wipes, and a bottle of dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the restroom. A small coffee station in the room, with a small keurig machine, k cups, coffee cups, lids, stir sticks packaged with sugar and a napkin.

There is a limited amount of parking spaces in the complex and if there is no parking you will need to park outside in the street.

Love the big halls and rooms. New design of hotel reminds me of a tru Hilton my favorite so that was a great surprise. Their breakfast hands down is the best I have seen in a long time. Eggs, bacon, sausage, all 3 are hard for protein eaters. They also had your pancakes, make your own waffles, milk, oj, toast, yogurt, coffee, hot tea and a lot more. There is a pool and hot tub we didn't use along with a gym.. every area was clean. Our bed were so nice and very quiet.

Only thing I didn't like was a hold on my hard I wasn't aware of it fell off a feel days later but traveling on a budget made me worry.

Maria was great checking me in and found me the perfect room. My stay was great. There was a strange guy following me around the hotel but I felt comfortable because your staff is so great. They do watch everyone's comings and goings. I appreciate that. Daniel check me out fast and efficiently. Now if someone can help me with my Wyndham Rewards I'd appreciate it too. Thank you. 😊

I wasn't sure a hotel right next to a major freeway on the main drag of Santa Rosa ... which used to be rather dangerous ...would be a good place to stay but it was! The hotel was VERY quiet, the room was clean/comfortable and the breakfast much larger and better than expected.

The light in my bathroom would not stay off ... but I reported it to the desk the next day and expect it will be fixed. I did not get a receipt when I checked out which was disappointing.

We had a queen deluxe suite. We thought the room was spacious. The two queen beds and pillows were very comfortable. The air conditioning was great! The breakfast was good, expecially the biscuits and sausage gravy. The french toast was good too, it was an alternative to having the waffles which we have had numerous times.

My biggest complaint is: I reserved the room at a the price shown. The day before, the price for the same room dropped $51.44. I sent 3 messages and never received a reply to adjust the charges. I believe this unfair and will write to corporate office with my complaint. The cost of the room should have been adjusted to the lower price. They should be consistant in food offerings for those of us who frequent La Quinta Inns. We stayed twice on this trip, the second stay here did not have the french toast. Also, the sofa bed was not very comfortable for our 3rd person. The mattresses on sofa beds are thin and need to be changed out more often. Not happy about that.

The staff, they were very friendly! The breakfast had a great selection and was always being restocked. The room was comfortable and clean.

We were just a bit disappointed in the pool area, the afternoon sun disappears so it’s ok for those that prefer shade. The pool had something in the bottom that we asked to have removed but they just shut the pool down instead. The fire pit was cozy and a great end to our day.

need more variety of foods

Staff should inform guest that they need to request to have their rooms cleaned daily. The first day my room was not cleaned. I call down to the front desk and ask why my room was not cleaned and was told it should have been clean. They would make sure it was cleaned the next day. When service was in the hall I asked if they needed me to leave the room while they cleaned and she said no my room was not on the list to be cleaned but she could give me towels. She stated that I had to request that my room be cleaned. I let the housekeeping supervisor know that I did speak to the front desk the day before and she said she would get someone to clean my room right away. The housekeeping supervisor was great! Thank you again for you quick assistance.

Very new hotel. Comfortable , nicely decorated, and spacious rooms. Staff was very nice. Outdoor Pool and hot tub were clean and loved making use of them. Best in the morning and early aftrrnoon as later they are in the shade. But still nice. Free breafast was pretty good - i liked the waffle machine. Having a mini fridge and microwave in the room was a really nice perk. Allowed us to save a bit of money on a meal when we were sick of restaurants! Well situated for activities in Sonoma. Overall very happy with our stay- good value hotel.

The staff was professional and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet for a great sleep.

Our only complaint was being hit with a $10/night parking fee. I've never been charged with a parking fee before except in NYC for parking inside a garage. In NYC with the limited space, it makes sense and we knew about it going in. When we booked the Santa Rosa La Quinta there was no mention of this extra charge. We found out that it was a new corporate policy for Wyndham hotels, not a local choice. Not a great choice by Wyndham...
