location directly at the beach front. The rooms facing to the beach are quiet. I would not book a room facing the Pacific Coast Highway. my room was renovated and clean, with a balcony looking to the Pacific Ocean - very nice. Parking lot in the garage available.

you get what you pay for. Direct beach access would cost a lot more at other places. Building is old and would need renovation. From first sight this hotel would not be a preferred location but at the end it turned out to be better than expected.

The location is amazing!! It's right by the main entrance to Sunset Beach. I had a view from the second floor, with a balcony, and it looked out over the beach. Technically it's not right on the beach, because there is the parking lot to the beach, and then there is a row of little houses where people live, but the houses are small, and the motel basically sees over them if you're on the second floor. How wonderful it is to get up in the morning and see the ocean out the window! I enjoyed just relaxing in the room with the balcony sliding door open, glancing out and seeing all the people with their bikes and surfboards. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There was a parking garage on the bottom level where I parked my rental car. I loved it here!

One thing I did not know about the hotel when I first reserved a room there, because this was not apparent online, is that there is a street side and an ocean side. The street side has king beds, and the ocean side has two queen beds - I think that's what the front desk person told me. You pay a little bit more for the ocean side, but it is well worth it! I upgraded to the ocean side at the hotel, and they had one room left on the second floor, and it was the best!! The street side is noisier, and it doesn't have a good view of anything really. I would recommend second floor on the ocean side for sure. This hotel is older, but it's nicely kept up. Staying here was wonderful. I would gladly stay here again.

I didn't expect a great facility as I had viewed it online. I selected it based on proximity to the beach and the fact it is on the beach side of PCH. The room was actually bigger than expected. We booked a double queen suite. It had a roll away bed and easily could accommodate 2 blow up queens or twins. It was also clean. Don't expect luxury accommodations but the location is great. Parking is in the garage at ground level and that was nice as well.

Breakfast area was closed so that required us to spend money every morning that was not budgeted for.

The hotel was a very short walk to the beach. There were places to eat across the street, so we didn't need to drive anywhere, which was very nice. The room was clean & comfortable, and had a balcony with a little table & chairs outside.

There was construction going on at the hotel, which I didn't see posted when I booked my visit. The hotel also doesn't notify you if your room is ready early, which I appreciate from other hotels.

Right at the beach very good price for location.

Wanted a room that was first floor and did not get.

Great ocean view, nice balcony. Room was nice. Mini fridge. Air conditioning.

Not enough light in the bathroom to get ready. Couldn't charge our phones for some reason. Mattress was a too firm. We would have stayed longer if bed wasn't so hard.

This hotel is really right on the beach! it is an older hotel, but clean and comfortable. It is close to restaurants and some craft breweries. The parking is free! We walked everywhere from the hotel.

I wish there had been more actual seating in the room. Only one office chair is available.

The location to sun set beach

The location is a 5 minute walk right out onto the beach. The problem is that when I used booking.com it said. 2 queen beds with ocean view. BUT than I got there and that's just part of the name of hotel?... according to the guy at check in. False advertising! So I didn't get a view and no patio. I got a older room with dirty carpet. I won't use booking.com again.

This is the best location for the price right on the beach with ocean view rooms. Very comfortable. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Elevator beings I'm disabled. My daughter, grandson and I come every year for his birthday. And try to get an additional trip in in June or so. It's our go-to beach hotel location. Thank you.

Oceanside, comfortable beds, pleasant staff and clean

No continental breakfast...carpet damp (probably from cleaning out sand)...late check-in but Nazrool did his best to get us a room earlier.
