Timbers INN and Suites

Was thrilled to have 3 beds, with one in a semi private alcove...Perfect for our family of 4! Very friendly and helpful front office staff, full of info and restarant recommendations. Great location across the street from Southern Oregon University and a mile or two from the Shakespeare Festival. Decent continental breakfast. Small pool .

It appeared the place is in the midst of renovations, though it was not an inconveninece. Carpet in room had a few spots, and our room was a bit dark, but did not inhibit our stay, as we were there mainly to sleep.

Nice place in quiet area. Pizza place adjacent and Chinese food Also reasonably priced. Manager was great. Little mixup with our payment that he immediately caught and came to tell us about. New employee had accidentally billed both booking and us. He got it rectified right away, no problems! Breakfast is continental but good.. my husband smokes and it is non smoking but they have convenient designated smoking areas that worked fine.

Would have liked a handrail on wall side of the toilet to aid older people get up easier. Would have liked a bedside table on both sides of the bed and also plug in options. I use CPAP machine so hard to find outlet near bed..

The room was comfortable and a good value. Heater was good (it was snowing outside!). Room and bath were clean. The young couple who are managing this are friendly and accommodating. I liked that they had specific rooms that were pet free and others that were pet friendly. Stayed going north and returned going south. Restaurants, good coffee and a grocery store nearby. I'd stop here again.

Some electric outlets didn't work but we had enough available. Breakfast could have protein options (hard boiled eggs or yogurt), it was mainly grain based.

This motel is a rare find having 3 queen beds for a low price. The room was clean, up to date and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. We couldn’t figure out how to work the TV so we called the front desk. Someone came within minutes to instruct us. This was such a pleasant stay, that we have booked the same room for our return trip. There were several restaurants within a 1-3 minute walk. However, downtown which was minutes away by car, had some great places to eat.

Staff was friendly. Check in/out was quick. Several electrical outlets were accessible in the room so charging my phone and laptop was easy and convenient. Connecting to the wireless service was easy and the connection was stable. Easy access to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Coffee and bagels available in the office in the morning. Pizza restaurant and a god grocery store were behind the parking lot and a Safeway was a short drive.

The air conditioner was located near the ceiling so it was difficult to access the controls. Only one washcloth was provided. The refrigerator setting was too cold so items just below the freezer compartment froze.

Continental breakfast was very meager but at least there was something to drink and eat. Coffee, OJ, & bananas. Numerous eating places around. Market across the parking lot has a hot deli bar but don’t go late. Pizza next door. Steak & seafood across the street a block away. Chinese food with enormous portions & a Vietnamese restaurant all within easy walking distance.

Heater unit mounted too high on wall. A little dangerous for a short senior who needed a chair to set the temp. Wall mounted control or remote would have been great.

This was a last minute booking and although I arrived very late at night due to travel complications I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and a quick check-in. The room was quite spacious, clean, and updated with modest furnishings in a comfortable way. This is a very quiet neighborhood although close to a few restaurants that I hope to try if I travel that way again. It is also next to a market which has old fashioned business hours which helps keep the area peaceful. The simple selection of breakfast grab-n-go items were fresh and plenty. I was also lucky enough to experience the excellent farmer's market across the street Saturday morning (bonus!!). It is a few minutes' drive to the historical downtown area with shops and attractions for anyone and everyone. Gary was very helpful with directions for my continued journey and I felt very safe and secure at the Timbers travelling alone.

The stairs were a little uneven and not very well lit.

I am a regular at Tmbers Motel, Ashland Ore. I go about 3 times a year. My only criticism is car parking. The way the building is designed, parking is very tight. And there never seems to be enough space. Feels like all the cars are "cornered" into a small cramped space. I don't like parking on the Market Of Choice side for car safely reasons. I cannot see my car. Should have a bit more variety of breakfast foods, and fruits. More flyers or pamphlets for travelers visiting on where to go and what to see and do.

Room and bathroom is well kept and clean. Just enough good space for an individual or two persons stay.

The room was perfect and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee stuff. The pool looked good too but we didn't swim. The location is great and it was nice to be able to walk to a few places for food and coffee and such. The prices was totally worth what we got considering the rest of town. You must eat next door at GAPCO if you like pizza at all. ITS SO GOOD.

Almost all of the outlets in the room didn't work. We made it work so no biggie but it was a minor inconvenience. Parking was slightly annoying at times but we managed to find a spot nearby regardless. These are small minor things and we would not hesitate to stay here again no questions asked.

Our room was comfortable and clean; the location is far enough away from the bustle of the downtown area; it met our needs for a one night stay.

Breakfast is a bit on the minimal side but we were happy to see it - it had not indicated that breakfast was included. Note: can this and other establishments that offer in-room coffee makers please get a type of coffee packet that does not tear apart the contents while trying to open it?!
