La Quinta by Wyndham Trinidad

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. It's my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. We came to Trinidad only for this hotel... I mean swim and hot tub till midnight then check out at noon after a free breakfast that actually tastes good!! What's not to love?! This morning they had freshly cooked Blueberry filled pancakes, eggs, sausage and alot more... I went up for seconds... and the entire staff is so friendly!! It's a good energy place to be !!

I only wish we could stay longer! I'm super excited to go back again

The room was very nice. We had a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

We were awakened twice in the night by a barking dog - located in the motel down our hall. The breakfast situation was very odd. You had to show your breakfast ticket. The doors of the room where the food was located were pulled tight to a table where a woman stood asking you what you wanted. She dished out the food. There was other food in the room, muffins and such, but it was difficult to tell exactly what all was there and you couldn't go in and get it. Weird.

This was an excellent hotel. The staff was extremely polite and cordial. My room was excellent, very clean and large. Having my breakfast included was wonderful. The servers were so nice and although I have hearing difficulty they made every effort to comply with my requests. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family. I also loved being close to Walmart, gas station and Wendy's. Excellent job everyone and thank you so much for my wonderful experience.

There wasn't anything I didn't like, I loved it all.

Excellent hotel. Room was big, clean. Great nights sleep. Room had fridge / freezer. Great location with a Walmart next door. Ideal for anyone visiting Trinidad Walsenburg scenic highway.

Booking.com. I had to change date of stay . New date was in fact $20 cheaper on line. But Booking.com (not the hotel) saw fit to charge me $40 more than the original price I had paid. I would deal with hotel direct if you stay there

This is a good place to stay. I stayed once before and it was exceptional then. Just normal now, but still a good option

Room had two queen size beds but only two bath towels, I like to use two towels. Lots of hand towels, though. Bedside lamp was unplugged, and it took awhile to figure that out. Toilet clunked loudly every time it flushed. breakfast post-covid is disappointing. The lobby coffee pot was empty, but the one at breakfast was not empty, just hard to find (staff might think I'm blind). Little anomalies that are no big deal but in collection make a difference....Staff tried to be helpful but I looked three times before I could find a full coffee pot.

First, the staff from top to bottom was friendly but not overbearing. Then there were the little touches—coffee and a WIDE assortment of teas available 24/7, multiple areas to sit and read which were very comfortable and great music playing quietly (not Muzak, but a playlist that was just good stuff you know and can hum ir sing to.

The walls were a little thin…we could hear the reaction of the person in the next room ti whatever tv show he was watching. And I’m sure he thought he wasn’t being loud, just talking to the tv in his normal voice

I like that parking was easy staff was very friendly check in was fast. Breakfast was a little weird but it was okay. Ice machines actually worked on the floors the hot tub in the pool were very nice and the patio was awesome

Mostly everything was really good. It's not that I didn't like breakfast I can totally understand under situations that we should be served or breakfast. It keeps cost down and with covid it helps but it still is a little weird

Most modern and clean La Quinta I think I’ve ever seen. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our room requests and even went above and beyond trying to help us find a close parking spot to unload when we arrived late in the evening.

Really wish breakfast had been self serve. The staff serving was wonderful and very kind but it just would have been much easier to feed my three small children if I could run back and forth to grab what they need. Having to wait in line to just grab another yogurt or piece of toast was a bit cumbersome.

The rooms were very nice. The pool and breakfast area were nice.

The check in ladies were not that friendly. In fact they were rude. They never had a smile on their faces and didn’t even ask how my stay was. She was also rude when my daughter called the front desk to ask for the hours of the pool.

Bed was really comfy and room was nice! Breakfast was unexpectedly good. The staff providing breakfast was efficient and courteous. Hotel remodel/update looks good.

Front desk staff could have been more attentive. When checking in, the gal was talking to another staff and seemed distracted. A really courteous thing to do would be to ask a customer if they are a "rewards" member and add their number to the reservation. I had to request the number be added the following morning. Same gal checked us in and checked us out. Same story both times. Not very focused. Was also surprised this was the most expensive night of lodging we had incurred in over 4500 miles. Couldn't believe Trinidad, Colorado would demand that kind of price.
