Norwalk Inn & Conference Center

The room was a good size. The bed was a little soft for my liking but comfortable. I really liked that the room used a mini-split for AC. So much quieter than the large units most rooms use. I had noticed that neither of the two outlets on the bedside lamp worked. I informed the front desk when I had to go out. When I got back to my room, maintenance had come in and replaced the lamp with one that had working outlets.

I thought the entrance to the bathroom was on the narrow side and, as a larger person, the "throne" area was uncomfortably narrow. The sink counter could easily be a few inches smaller.

Clean, comfortable, easy access, great location. We loved our room.

I am STILL waiting for a call back, email about the one night refund due to a early checkout for a family emergency. I have sent 3 emails to the reservation department, no response. I contacted the front desk and was told the manager of reservations called me, I did not receive a missed call or voice mail. Was told she would be calling me that day/evening, no phone call. I was told she was going to reverse the charges, but no confirmation email. Very disappointed on how this is being handled.

The Inn was lovely. The location was second to none. While I was at the corporate conference that was held in the meeting rooms, my wife took a beautiful stroll down the street. She was able to go to the beach within minutes. She was able to go to world famous supermarket. She visited a church. The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The acreage on the property was very beautiful and Victorian. The experience was a delightful departure from the cookie cutter franchises. This hotels’ restaurant food was amazing also. A must stay.

Our party guests enjoyed the food and the location. Our server Martha was very helpful and patient with us and explained the menu in great detail. The fish and steaks were prepared to everyone’s liking. Beautiful dinning room with a gorgeous fireplace. Since we stayed at the hotel we circled back the next morning. We had a really pleasant host and delicious breakfast. Great view, clean, friendly staff. Definitely a hidden gem!

The beds were a little too soft and didn’t feel very supportive. Not a major inconvenience but our room didn’t have a phone to call for room service. We used our cell phones. The rooms were very clean and made it easy to relax.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Booking.com listing says complimentary water but there was none. I called downstairs and was told they do not provide water. I had to go down to the first floor to find the vending machine. The room could also use a full length mirror. I was told that the hotel bar stayed open until 1 am. When I got back from my event at 11:15, looking forward to a night cap (I was traveling alone and was hoping to find some friendly guests to chat with) the bar was closed. It was a Saturday night.

The room was spacious, very clean, and the temperature was easy to control. The beds were comfortable and the room was reasonably quiet at night. Refrigerator and microwave were an unexpected amenity. We particularly were impressed when we requested a blanket (to replace a comforter, which was too hot for my husband) and the manager sought one out for us - it took two trips for her, and she had a smile on her face both times. She was GREAT - I'm sorry I didn't ask her name. The service at this hotel seems a lot more upscale than you'd expect at the price.

The lock on the door felt flimsy, and there was no additional security hook to prevent a break-in - we didn't have any safety problems, but it did catch our attention. Would also have appreciated having a towel rack (or two!) in the bathroom.

Large quiet room, comfortable bed, loved the wood floor (so much more sanitary than carpet). Kana at the front desk was very helpful.

No towel racks in the bathroom. And yet there’s a sign suggesting that guests who want to help the environment reuse their towels—not an easy thing to do without a towel rack! Also, this hotel continues the very outdated practice of putting a decorative pillow on the bed, which almost all other hotels have stopped because it’s such an unsanitary practice. Guests put these pillows on the floor and then the hotel thinks it’s a good idea to put them on freshly laundered sheets? Very bad idea. I left feedback for the manager about both of these issues—hopefully they’ll be addressed.

Loved the staff, hotel is well maintained and clean, love the waterfall at the entrance, love smell of flowers in lobby, did I mention the staff was so nice :)

Breakfast could have been better, french toast was "eh". I also ordered home fries, I thought I would be getting chunks of potatoes and not was looked liked mashed potatoes fried in a pan, mattress could have been softer, it was a little firm for my liking (I know it's hard to please with this :) )

Staff was welcoming and very professional and knowledgeable (as well as personable). Breakfast was very good. Parking easy. Overall, a pleasant room.

Re room: I'm not a coffee drinker and would have appreciated a hot pot and tea bags in the room. Would strongly suggest that you add a water kettle (that turns off when hot). Putting water through a Keurig is terrible...tea tastes like coffee. Also, better pillows...instead of 6 loose/soft pillows, perhaps larger (4) and more supportive pillows or a combination would be welcome.

The Inn was lovely from moment walked in. The ambiance was set with stylish granite floors in the lobby and bar area. Our conference room was an impressive space for us to hold a full day event, followed by drinks. The rooms were excellent, the service was dedicated, and the night's sleep was restful. I would highly recommend for a corporate group setting.
