Delamar Southport

Everyone from the person calling to confirm our reservation, to the front desk staff & luggage handlers, cleaning staff and breakfast attendants were all friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is delicious - house made yogurt, pastries, and good coffee. Rooms are spacious - the orchid in the bathroom and the turn down service make it feel luxurious. Location is very convenient to Fairfield University. Will be staying again soon!

The hallways are a little loud - doors slam, not much sound proofing, and there was a dog howling for some time - not at night, but still annoying. Nothing that will prevent us from staying again, but it may be bothersome to others.

Everything was lovely. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The linens were a very high quality. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I would only make 2 small comments: 1. Maybe a slightly better quality bagel and a bit more artisan on the bread 2. Dinner at Artisan was lovely, but a bit too salty. For example my side of sautéed spinach was quite salty.

Well appointed, clean and the staff were all wonderful.

It’s right next to the highway. We didn’t hear anything in our room but we were on the other side of the hotel, I think you would probably hear it from the other side. No vegan or gluten free options on the menu for the restaurant but there’s an amazing place.5 mile away that does both so we went out to eat.

My room was close to some road with heavy traffic. Ear plugs did the job but if you can, ask for a quiet room! Expensive dinner and the wine by the glass must be the smallest portion I have never seen.

Because of Covid I understand that ,you could not have your usual continental buffet. However, for the price of our room, i feel that your breakfast could have been much better. The coffee urn ran out and it took forever for a new urn to be brought to,them table. I feel you could, have had more to offer ie: hard rolls buttered and wrapped, muffins buttered and wrapped, cereal, granola yogurt parfaits. Your offering of breakfast bars was pretty lame.

Parking! Went to the garage and couldn't find spaces that said Delamar parking anywhere. We pulled out again and fortunately, found a place in front of the hotel.

Service was excellent. Room was lovely; bed had extra comforter. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The downside was that you hear traffic. Also, they checked us out early and we had difficulty getting out of elevator. All in all, it is a lovely hotel!

It was difficult finding entrance and the card key situation was interesting.

Was not expecting breakfast. Enjoyed the food and made our departure easy. The breakfast staff very friendly and attentive,

The hotel and entire staff were exceptional and total exceeded my expectations..

The only thing that bugged me were the other guests who didn't wear masks...not your fault!!

Great location very clean excellent and professional staff rooms are up to date and very Well accommodated fireplace. We just enjoy the stay definitely will be back
