Tropi Rock

I thought that Tropi Rock was good value for money. It more of a motel rather than hotel vibe, but the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were nice, it had a pool, and was maybe a block back from the beach. There was a nice sushi place nearby. After closeby convenience store - pantry? shut, CVS was closest place to buy drinks and snacks. Noise did really travel from pool, but I politely said this to man being loud when I was sleeping and he receivwd it well and lowered volume and I was able go go back to sleep. I was in an adjoining room and noise from family in next room also travelled, but when I raised this I was also able to go back to sleep. And adjoining room was vacant rest of my stay. All in all, would recommend and would stay there again.

Customer service was above and beyond even for the hospitality industry! Through a completely random series of events we were upgraded to a beautiful king suite and it was wonderful! Location was great and accessible. So much to do within walking distance, the beach was close, not crowded and beautiful water. Cant wait to go back next year!

Facility was a little dated, but beautiful and charming, and you can tell the staff is dedicated to maintaining and making updates

Room was handicap accessible, perfect size, clean and bright. One of the gentlemen at the desk helped me with my bags and work equipment. Laundry available. The shower was amazing, the water pressure coming through the waterfall shower head was great! The pool looked very inviting but it was cool so I did not try it. The grounds are very well landscaped, loved all the greenery and trees. All the staff was friendly and helpful!

I arrived 8:30pm, nobody was at the front desk. The ring doorbell did not work. I finally found a number to call and it went to voicemail. Gentleman called back very quickly and said it would be a few minutes and someone would be at the front desk for check in. I booked my room on Booking.com and so in order to get a handicap accessible room I had to upgrade and pay more. I put on booking that my cat would be with me. I said I need to go get my cat back in his travel bag they said oh you owe for pet fee! Ok, so then I paid more and I said, "What is those signs that say $10 a day parking fee?" Figured were for beach goers. No, it was for me??? Where was I going to park if I didn't have a parking space??? So then I paid more money.

The photos were accurate. I reserved a room with two queen beds, small kitchen (with basic glassware and cooking utensils) and large dining table. Check in was easy; Nickolas was a great--provided us with a local map and pointed out places of interest. Gave us a coupon for the tapas/wine bar to try. Staff during my stay were available if I wanted anything extra. Pool was clean and nice and there is even a pretty garden with grill and tables under a tent to use! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were updated (microwave and oven, new bathroom sink) Car parking spot right in front too.

Extra hooks in the bathroom for towels, bathing suits, etc. Safe is on the floor but it is too hard to use.

Very clean property- the pool area looked very nice but didn’t have time in my short trip to take advantage of it- great location, short walk to the beach, lots of amenities in the area. The room had small a kitchenette with everything you need - almost full sized refrigerator and room was very clean.

The beds were hard as a rock, but I am used to memory foam beds so it was not comfortable for us. Everything was super clean though

The location is fantastic- barely two blocks away from the beach! The staff has always been friendly, and highly considerate: either with room adjustments or with help with our dog. And the price cannot be beaten; so this place has become a traveling staple.

You need to really plan the room space-to-people ratio: if you do it well, the stay is amazing. But that could be said for most hotels. At times it can be a tad bit dirty, but that is due to the location, which is really easy to forgive.

The staff really made us feel welcome. We didn't get in until about 4:00am because our rental car company was having an issue. The staff already had our rooms ready and waiting, and one of the staff members even gave up his parking space so that we didn't have to drive around the area. Looking for parking since their lot was full. We really needed that hospitality after a rough day of travel.

Like any hotel of this style, it isn't the most glamorous, but they really keep it up nicely. Nicely. The rooms were clean and it was a little better than you would expect from this price.

We unexpectedly ended up with a very large room with a small kitchen with table and two beds! Parking was included with the room fee. Room was very clean but little décor but perfect for us! Facilities were basic with small pool but we were biking to friends staying at a bigger resort down the beach. Easy walk to the beach in the morning. Easy access to night spots with uber. Will stay again.

This was a great place to stay, 1.5 blocks from the beach, just over from the street, the A1A. Within a block there is a food truck, juice/smoothie place, bakery and general store. And lots of other restaurants and stores within walking distance. It has a pool, which I never used but looked nice. The room I stayed in was exactly what I needed. I asked for other than first floor and they were able to oblige with the second floor, thank you very much. It had a nice little balcony which was lovely. Microwave, fridge, closet, dresser, bathroom with some amenities, fan and ac. It was clean and safe. Ice machine in the basement (I learned halfway through the time there) The ac was crazy loud but with ear plugs, it was fine and helped drown out the loud people at night. Unfortunately, not all people are not considerate and there were a lot of loud people drinking and smoking which made it annoying. Not the motels fault, but motels are open to the outside so you can hear all the yelling, kids screaming and partying. Plus, motel staff doesn’t stay on-site like hotels so people get away with more. People tend to meet up in the parking lots and are loud in the mornings. They also smoke right under my window/balcony. Wish there was a way to have them stand somewhere else. Wifi worked well and they didn’t have cable TV, just roku, so use your accounts if you have them. Bed was decent and firm with clean sheets and light blanket. Black out curtains too. There are no chairs or beach blankets, you have to bring/buy your own. It’s a quick 20 min ride from the airport by car, about $18 ride by lyft/uber and there’s also public transportation. There are golf carts in the hotel area for $3/ride using the app, free area shuttle and buses. All the staff was pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff was great and always asked if I needed anything or have extra towels.

We LOVED our stay at Tropi Rock. We had a Deluxe King with a full kitchen and a Double room. The property location is literally a few minutes walk to the beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach which is mainly why we stayed here. Parking on-site was a bonus. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. The reception team were all really friendly.

The full fridge and the stove top were good, however, we only had 1 frying pan, a toaster, coffee maker and 1 pot so it was ok for breakfast eggs and making lunch sandwiches. A few more cooking items would be needed if you wanted to cook a dinner for 5 people as we had in our stay. We had an issue with one of our 205 door keys randomly not working, however, it was fixed.
