Riptide Oceanfront Hotel

If you are looking for a comfortable stay for a reasonable price in the heart of the action of Hollywood Beach, Riptide should be at the top of your list. The hotel is older and in all honestly a bit run down, but this is easily forgiven by the size of the room (we had a suite with 2 beds, a sofa bed, and a kitchenette), the breathtaking views, and the stellar location on the broadwalk that's an easy walk to great restaurants, shops, entertainment, and the water taxi, which is a great way to explore all the way to Fort Lauderdale. Not to mention the Tiki bar, which has fantastic live entertainment, food and service. We just had a short stay before our cruise, but would love to go back again!

Location to the beach, beachfront, tiki bar and restaurant. Food was excellent, but bar is limited. Not fully stocked. Usually only 1 bartender even when busy. I love having live music at the hotel. Office staff was very friendly and accommodating. Held our bags until check in so we could go to the beach and held all our stuff after check out until our ride came an hour later.

Bathrooms are very small/tight and old. I'm a tiny woman and it was too small for me.

Location Location Location. The hotel is on the right with a beautiful boardwalk. It doesn't get any better

The only inconvenience we had was the room we moved into (yes we had to move rooms 1 time, however that was handled appropriately) the ceiling fan was extremely extremely dirty. My daughter suffers from dust allergies.

Excellent spot right on beach, friendly staff and helpful, and you can't beat the tiki bar and live music. Will definitely come back for longer stay as the rooms had kitchenettes but the tiki bar food was awesome as well.

As with older buildings there was some wear and tear but the room was clean and we were missing bath soap. (But we had some with us so no big deal)

Loved the location, right on the broadwalk. Our room was on the second floor and had a large window view of the beach. The bar was great. The bartender, Heather, was a very busy girl but well able to handle the busy bar. Bar closes around 8-9pm which is good if you want quiet, we would not have minded a later drink but Nick's is only a 5 minute walk. There was entertainment at the bar each night. The room was old and basic but had all we needed.

The Riptide was pretty much as I expected, basic older facility in a great location. No fan or open window in the bathroom. Door uses a key that was difficult to open.

Room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view! We were surprised how awesome it was! They also had beach chairs with sun umbrella provided which we sadly didnt find until we were leaving. Great location right on the beach with all kinds of shops,, restaurants, bars, etc. We were in room 26 which I believe was probably the best room view of all!

Everything was in the kitchenette except coffee for the provided coffee pot, lol.

The location was outstanding! Right on the beach. Awesome people watching on the Broadwalk. But the absolute best part was the Tiki Hut. Live, great music all day, every day. We really did not have to leave our place to be entertained. I would stay here again.

We were very disappointed when we saw they room. It was small and dated. It said ocean view but one small window over the sink really shouldn’t count. (But the bed was comfortable and the shower was great.) The office did not serve coffee until 8 am so I had to walk down the boardwalk to get coffee every morning. It would be nice to have coffee available in the room.

Parking is a big issue. Parking tends to be taken by bar patrons and hotel guest tend to have to fend for themselves even though they pay a daily Parking rate. This was an issue everything you needed to leave the property.

Great little tiki bar with live music. Great view of the beach! Not our first time here and will be back again!

Exceptional staff, very clean amazing food!! Ali, Heather, sephora, Ryan Anthony were absolutely 💯 sweet, helpful friendly!!! ❤️. Bar closed at9 pm perfect!! Great entertainment and views. Always breezy too gorgeous sunrise 🌅 we will make this our place!!! Thank you Riptide for doin it right ✅️
