Banana Bay Resort & Marina

The resort is stunning. The pool was relaxing, views from the marina were exceptional, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had an amazing stay enjoying the resort and exploring the Keys.

Breakfast was a little unusual. You collect a breakfast box from the front desk, containing orange juice, bagel, omelette, yogurt and blueberry muffin. There is also a small breakfast room, which has cereals, coffee, microwave and toasters. It would be easier to just have everything provided in the breakfast room and have boxes available so guests can pack their own breakfast to take back to their room if they want to.The breakfast room could also do with an update. I'd recommend stopping off in the breakfast room to toast bagels and grab some butter if you're just picking up your box to take to your room, otherwise it's not the tastiest breakfast. However, everything else about our stay was flawless.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was large, the bed was comfortable. We booked a Marina view, which was very nice. The pool looked very nice but sadly we didn't get a chance to use it. Location was in the middle of the Keys, very convenient. The walk-in shower was nice, There was enough space for our belongings.

The breakfast! Disappointed that we were given a box with a bagel, cream cheese, small OJ. small yogurt, a Blueberry Muffin and an egg (maybe a small omelette) wrapped in plastic that had to be microwaved. There was fresh coffee and toasters. Not your typical continental breakfast.

Rooms are very cleaned and updated from the last time we stayed. Very comfortable beds and shower is amazing. The pool is one of the biggest in the Keys just needs a little renovation but overall it’s awesome. There is really nothing except our fan squeak a little bit but nothing to bad. Worse thing was that we had to check out today we wanted to stay longer 🥹

Loved the location and I'm glad I upgraded to a water view, it was better than expected. Loved the cleanliness and decor of the room, and going out and seeing the tropical fish in the mornings.

I don't think we'll ever come back in July. The pool should be cooled, it was the hottest week in history and the it would've been really nice if the pool didn't feel like a hot bath. It was too hot to swim in the ocean or get relief anywhere, a cooled pool would've made this the best trip ever.

Room completely renovated, very nice! Bathrooms redone, good size pool, great location. They have bikes, coolers, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, tennis racquets, ect. to use for free which was a great help. Staff was great, very helpful

Breakfast - so, so Pool needs updating need more towels rods/hooks in room to hang wet towels/bathing suits

Great location. Hotel had a lovely big swimming pool, plenty of seating around pool. Good size comfortable room with great amenities, coffee maker, fridge and room safe. Friendly staff on Reception.

Breakfast. Would be much better as a small buffet, where you could just take a bagel or muffin. The pre packed box was a waste, most items we just threw away which was a shame. Could improve on the coffee making facilities and maybe another toaster. We found it got really busy in the room sometimes!

the room was nice. the bed was comfortable. Great bar/ marina area for watching the sunset. Free bikes for getting around.

The building we were in was close to the main road. There was some sort of issue with our reservation. The first night our room faced the street and the East . we were moved to a west facing room and all was well.

Receptionist gave us an upgrade to a great room with a view of the ocean. Our room and building was spacious and well built and the king bed super comfortable. There was a ladder off the docks/beach for swimming, which I preferred to the pool, although this was quite large.

It had to do more with Marathon and the Keys in general. There is no real town center or place to walk (except parks) and all the hotels come off the main commercial strip. In spite of the upgrade I found the total cost of $250 a night too high for the overall quality - but I imagine this was due to high season.

large room, very clean. refrigerator in room. ceiling fan in room. nice balcony overlooking the gulf. staff was friendly & helpful we may trailer our boat on the next trip - there is a launch on the property and room to park it

pool needed to have some leaves removed / outer parts of bldgs need paint in some areas but Hurricane Ian has kept many Floridians busy. a couple hooks in the bathroom would be nice.

The overall set up of the whole facility. Plenty of space in the rooms with a patio to outside. The landscaping was just our style of tropical. The layout of the resort made you feel secluded even though you weren't. The sunset point was a perfect layout and it was nice to have a bar there with a friendly bartender and some fun music. The pool was a good size, and there are plenty of outside activities for the facility.

Just a couple of minor details...it would be nice to have easier access for more coffee in the rooms. The bathroom could use a towel bar to hang wet ones and a shelf in the shower to set your shampoo, soap, etc.
