Great location and classic style offering some nice extras in bikes and kayaks to launch from the on-site Canal. BBQ grills right outside our unit for cooking up our own eats. Great for balance of budget and fun!

Older rooms had loose doorknobs and leaky A/C units (A/C was still nice and cold). Weak toilette flush. If you can look past the aging aesthetic, there is a classic charm.

Kayaking provided with the Resort was fun it was only me and my daughter and beaches I like being in - the ocean on something small a little more nervous and adrenaline hiccups but I went and it was something I'd do again. The bed was so comfy as well as the pillows. I'd recommend and stay here again. It isn't far from the keys or the seven mile bridge. Food places there were a variety to choose from.

The only hiccups was I like hot hot water for showers and it was a more room temperature shower.... My daughter loved it tho. The Pool closed at 8pm so I didn't get to swim in the pool being that we were going everywhere during the day and finding different places to eat.. when we got in the pool was bout to close or closed.

We like the convenience of having our pontoon boat in the canal. The pool was clean and refreshing but dated. It was nice to have a kitchenette in our unit, but it was falling apart.

The construction noise right outside our room, we were not informed by the management or booking.com that construction might be a concern. Coral scraping and digging started early in the morning. Vibration shook the room. The stove in the unit was dirty and rusting. Repairs to the room were shabby. Sloppy paint, raw wood, and sliding glass door lock did not work. There is no blender, kitchen towels, cutting board, or counter space to prepare food. The pool was poorly repaired. Sloppy tile work over old tile. Most of the staff could hardly speak English, but they were friendly and had great hospitality.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the property, comfort of the rooms, and attentiveness of all of the staff I encountered (Jeanette, Parker, and Angela at the front desk were extremely helpful and informative while Gilbert was quick to help with little things like opening a door when my hands were full on multiple occasions). Free kayaks and paddle boards to access the ocean from the canal. Grab and go breakfast was wonderful! And all day coffee on hand at the front desk. I highly recommend staying here!

Others may find the rooms small. We were fine in that the beds were on platforms that allowed for storage underneath. Three adults with 2 queen beds plus an air mattress were comfortable for over a week.

I loved Mela. I forgot how you spell her name, but she works the front desk and she was absolutely an incredible lady. Funny and helpful. We had a very nice day the whole time we were there. The other guests were friendly. It’s a tad bit loud at times but we just turn the fan on the air conditioner and we were great. It’s a great location. Everybody was friendly, and we loved our stay very very much!

A little bit loud the airport is right next door other than that I loved everything about it! Very friendly, very accommodating

The deck in the back was nice We saw manatees, iguanas, pelicans, and the chickens were a unique addition. There were two beach chairs and a picnic table. A neighbor couple invited us to get into a boat and we cruised out of the canal behind the hotel past mangroves and out into the open ocean then back. Coffee was good.

We didn't like all the noise as a result of a high rise being built about two blocks away. There were airplanes and helicopters flying close overhead and the sound of traffic. Breakfast was served in a zip-lock bag to be taken back to the room.

Clean room, clean property. The room was large. the bed was terrible to sleep on. The nightstand and stand-up lamp were temperamental and did not always work. They would flicker and you had to twist the knob multiple time just right to get it to work.

The free"breakfast" was a large ziplock bag including an orange, a small can of apple juice, a mini muffin, unprepared oatmeal (need to fill with hot water), and a mini yogurt. You had to wait until 8 am for the office to open to pick up breakfast and grab a cup of coffee.

The room was very clean and exactly as it shows on the website. The pool was clean as was the area around the pool. The location was perfect and centrally located to all the other things that we had planned for this trip.

I wish that we did not have to go to the office every time we needed ice or towels for the pool and I was disappointed that they closed the pool so early in the day as we had excursions planned so most of the day and by the time we got back to our room the pool was already closed for the night.

Grab and go breakfast was fine ( adequate - when we were in a hurry to get going in the morning) . Free kayaking was amazing. ( we used a double kayak they had on the grounds and enjoyed the scenery- you could kayak through the canal and out into the Gulf of Mexico) . Rooms were clean, daily maid service. Nice Rocking chair in the room. Beds were adequate; good air conditioning; ceiling fan; hot water always available. They were able to accommodate and give us early check in. Pool was nice, clean, warm enough temp to enjoy.

No view whatsoever. ( there are buildings / rooms on the grounds with some nice views of the grounds/ canal , we were not located there) Pool side alittle noisy as you could hear traffic from main thorough-fare nearby. This is not a beach property but we were aware of that when we booked.

Overall very good stay for your money. They even provide free kayaks,paddle boards, and bicycles for free to use at your convenience( my boyfriend and I took the kayaks out and it was super fun we also rode the bikes they have to sombrero beach) . I felt the room was spacious enough for 2 and remodeled nicely. I also appreciate actually having good cable to watch something at night before bed. the breakfast was very typical grab and go in a big ziploc bag came with a banana bread slice, yogurt, individual oatmeal cup, fruit and water. I definitely would stay here again it was very calm.

If I had to pick at something it would be the fact that this place doesn’t have private access to a small beach or something I know I know they have a small pool but it’s not the same but it really didn’t bother us much as we went kayaking and that was better than just bathing at the beach.
