Hampton Inn Marathon - Florida Keys

The young Brazilian girl in the front desk was verrry kind and showed the best customer service!!! The breakfast changed everyday and was superb!! The breakfast attendants were also very nice!!

The Pool area wasn’t cleaned or checked up on during my whole stay. It was really unacceptable the way it was kept up with.. The seats in the pool area were disgusting with lizard poop or broken their was trash everywhere! The “bar” looked trashed. The bar was closed Sunday and Monday…. which really sucked! Omg and the $25 dollar “pool towels” were the size of a hand towel… definitely not for the price I paid 😭

Although officially a 3-star hotel, it had all the facilities of a 4-star. Very clean, large room. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, they would give complementary bottles of water on check-in to whoever was interested. The location is nice, with the ocean on both sides and a few good restaurants within walking distance. Free parking was highly appreciated. The breakfast was good, especially the fact that one could make their own waffles on the spot. We liked it and we would stay here again.

The price of one night at the time of our stay was exceptionally high, compared to other destinations in southern Florida.

maybe if you are an ametcican - some scrumbled eggs, some potatoes, jam, butter and few pastries it-s a great breakfast. for us, european people is not . no vegetables, no cheese (except small philadephia pack) , etc. for almost 400 dolars per night, i expect something more. No lunch, no dinner possibilities - you must drive in the city

Pool, hot tub, breakfast, room, plenty of parking. Breakfast very quiet - with the usual juices, coffee, waffles, bagels, pastries, bacon/sausage, eggs (varied), Potatoes. Rooms are serviced upon request due to covid - staff very happy to provide additional items if you run out.

First room (207) had a smell of damp and the skirting boards were discoloured/dirty (potentially this was connected). We asked to switch and this was done immediately with no problems and an apology. The second room was great, no damp or smell. Plenty of space in the room, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, shower (first room had a bath so baths are available) and I think all have a balcony.

I have stayed at this location many times, love everything about it. However the rates during high season are quite expensive. Between $300 to $400 dollars per night is a heafty price tag. I believe you could book plenty of more rooms if you dropped the pricing some as I did notice that the parking lot was not that full when I stayed this time. If not for work paying the tab I would have likely had searched for some other locations more in line with what I can afford personally.

Barbara was the best! She did everything she could to inform us and make our stay comfortable. She deserves a raise! The breakfast was incredible!

To have had at least a little view of the water. Also, no reason the Tiki Bar should have ever been closed. It is the busy season, and don't understand why you don't want to capitalize on your customers.

The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good. Nice to have our own little deck. Location was convenient.

Complimentary breakfast was not as good as other Hampton Inns, although credit must be given for having a breakfast buffet at all during these Covid days. First room we were given had water damage and a mold problem. Not a great first impression. The second room we were given was better. Hotel wasn’t even at half capacity so perhaps that first room should have been one of the last they tried to fill. The pool was cold and the hot tub only lukewarm. Hot tub also smelled weird.

Location. Quiet. A water line came loose from the toilet tank and with 1 phone call to the front desk, a repairman was at our door in 5 minutes and quickly took care of the problem. DirectTV access was good. Rooms were very clean and all the furniture was in good shapel. Free breakfast was decent.

Price could've been a bit more reasonable ($50.00 less per night?)

I got an upgrade for free by Mr. Li (front desk) The breakfast was amazing!!! Everything was clean and cozy, not too many people Nice deck, nice view, great location.

Maybe the Pool is a little too small for all the guests; although there was not too many people. We enjoyed two floating that were in the pool

Friendly staff helped correct a booking.com issue when checking in. The reservation was never linked into their system but not only did they find us a room, they gave us a pool side room for the troubles. Room was very clean and comfortable. Tiki staff was friendly and bar was well stocked. Breakfast was good. Staff gave us a great recommendation on a place to eat nearby (Marathon ale house) which was a locals favorite and was great.

This was the only hotel that required wear of gloves at the breakfast area... someone didn't get the updated cdc info I guess.
