Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport

Front Desk Manager was really helpful (resolved something in 20 minutes which took staff more than 3 hours to assist - thank you Miss Front Desk Manager, I misplaced the card you provided with your name sadly), room was clean, bed comfy, pool was great to make use of for early morning swim. Staff in the afternoon were friendly and had good energy.

Long waits to pay for snacks at reception (+-15 minutes) as they only had one person on duty multiple occasions and it got busy in the morning and whilst waiting others who lined up after us were served before us as they were in front of the desk, waited over a period of 3 hours for a follow up for a package (Front Desk Manager resolved in 20 minutes), the AC in lobby area can be a bit cold when sitting and working in the seating area around reception.

Gated entrance. Easy to get to most places. Clean and nice size room.

Deposit was $300 and didn't know until we checked in. That's a large amount to surprise people with. There is no microwave in the room.

The hotel itself is a very nice hotel, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and its location is very good for when you travel a few days and need to have everything close by. The service in the restaurant was very good, unlike in the lobby

The lady who attended us at the entrance was not informative, she did not tell us that parking was charged, that cleaning should be requested, on the third day we ran out of bath soap, cleaning was requested and they never cleaned, everything is charged until a local call, there is no direct customer service, not even a good morning when you walk through the lobby, there is no customer support of any kind.

I like staying at the Marriott or courtyard by Marriott, I feel safe, and my room is clean, the bed is comfortable and have restaurant there, its very convenient.

You didn't have free breakfast, and the price was high, I had to pay $25 for parking, they would change my room from a king to 2 queen, and I was charge for early departure, I was traveling for a family emergency surgery, I felt that the staff did not care that I was in a distressful situation, no compassion, I love staying at the courtyard by Marriott, I probably will stay there again. but the company need to do better.

I was impressed by the amenities at this hotel. I go to many hotels, but this was exceptional. The breakfast I opted for was a complete-cooked meal made for you, or you can choose the buffet. I loved the Spanish French Toast! There were also Starbucks drinks located at the other Marriott across the courtyard, as well as other food options. My room was comfortable and quiet. The airport shuttle runs every 15 minutes and a board in the lobby has the departures to let you know if they are on time or not (just like the airport). I would come back to this hotel without any thought and would look forward to it.

the A/C and the bed,

was a food menu from a outside restaurant in our room , we ordered food because was latte, and the food was so bad and looks like was made in a house and not in the restaurant, they charged to us $48 dollars for that and was so bad that we cant eat it, I though was a restaurant that the hotel approved for be offered to the guess, so i was so disappoint that the hotel led people from outside play with our money.

The location was good. close to most things and for the money it was nice since we were not paying the Miami Beach prices. For the airport location it is great for companies who bring people in for their events.

The added money for the parking ($23.00) a day. While it does not break the bank it was an added expense that needs to be highlighted.

Food was good; staff were super nice and helpful. I left my iphone in my room; called them when I was half way to Key West. They took the time to search for it, called me back that they had found it, and kept it safe for a week till I returned to Miami to pick it up. There are very few people in the travel and service industry who are that responsive and responsible anymore.

The room smelled a bit like stale smoke (I don't remember if it was a non-smoking room). The layout of the bathroom door to the entrance door was irrational (they crashed into each other). The room could probably use some renovation.

Location was close to the port of Miami

They canceled the room while I was on my flight because of a card that had been canceled a month beforehand and I didn't realize it. They did not wait or try to call me to get a different card, so I had to deal with that after I landed, while sitting in the airport. Then I was charged over $100 more than I had reserved the room for. Over $400 for less than 24hrs is ridiculous, especially since we didn't use or get any amenities.

The proximity to the airport and my place of business was perfect. The property was beautiful with palm trees and tropical plants to greet you as you walk in and around. The staff was super friendly and ready to assist.

The plumbing in the bathroom wasn't great. It sometimes took a little while for the water to drain or the toilet to flush. Perhaps that is just an effect of being at sea level...
