Hampton Inn Miami Airport East

The hotel was closely located to the airport and was very modern and comfortable. I like the fact that security was very tight even to use the elevator ( must use your room card). Breakfast selection was plentiful and tasty.

On the first day that we went to the hotel, we had to wait almost two hours before a shuttle was available to pick us up. We called three times. Finally the shuttle bus arrived and the driver apologized saying that he didn't start his shift until 3:30 pm. We had arrived at 2:15 and were picked up just after 4:00 pm. I understand that It's not the drivers fault but we weren't informed about anything. The receptionists didn't even seem to know what was going on as well.

My hotel room size was awesome. I was very impressed on how much space I got. The barn door on the bathroom was cute. The staff was very nice and helped with everything we needed. They were always polite and greeted us all the time.

1)I think there could be a bit more variety when it comes to breakfast. This hotel should take pride in the culture of Miami and maybe implement one dish from the surrounding culture. 2) We are in a time period where Netflix/ Disney +/ Hulu are more popular than cable. Having these on the TVs would improve the stay. 3) The cleanliness of the room could be improved. When we entered the bathroom there were crumbles on the bathroom floor and the areas around the fixtures in the bathtub needed a good scrub. At home I use a long brush kinda looks like a broom lol to scrub the bath tub / fixtures. Maybe you guys can start using that. It saves time because it is fast and saves the employees backs because they wouldn’t have to bend down at all.

It was close to the airport and they have a shuttle to the cruise port $$.

we asked the staff to call a taxi. They called a third party taxi which was more expensive. What ever you do don’t go in a black taxi. they charge more

Staff were very courteous and accomodating. Went out of their way to ensure we were assisted. The free breakfast was not the usual free breakfast the variety was good and very much welcomed.

Modern, attractive lobby, comfortable beds, spacious room, exceptional breakfast, excellent security (room key needed to operate elevator), convenient to airport.

David. A night manager with whom I dealt by phone after making the reservation. He had more excuses than a guy going to jail for why we couldn’t stay there. Hidden fees, shuttle service was not available; absurdities abounded. Every one else was both professional and accommodating.

Room was clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was, considering that when standing outside, you can hear a plane flying overhead every 5 minutes. Breakfast was good - a nice variety of food options. The dinner option was a food truck parked outside of the hotel, but the food was good.

The entrance to the property is after passing the Red Doors property entrance next door, which was a bit confusing. The carpet outside the elevators looked stained. There is no information provided in the room about the services on property. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel did not come every half-hour, as much as they insisted at the front desk. However, the shuttle did get us from the hotel to the airport in 5 minutes. It would be helpful if the shuttle was consistently travelling to and from the airport, and that the website provided clear information on how to catch it. It would also be helpful if a food menu was provided in the rooms for ease of ordering.

Breakfast was good, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We had a long travel day and the comfort of the rooms was very welcome. Although not part of the hotel, the nearby food truck offered amazing food!

transport shuttles from airport/to Port. We were told that we needed to call and we did but it took forever (over an hour) and the airport to hotel was only 20 minutes in actuality. I think they forgot us until another 2 calls were made. We commented to each other the only problem that arose with our travel was the ground transportation. This was a big deal to me as I try to be very detailed with our travel plans as we are accompanied by children and downtime can be miserable for all. I'd like to see a better way of confirming transportation when asked.

No charge for washing machine, location was good despite the noice of the airplanes, pool water was warm, breakfast was good. No charge for coffee and tea during the whole day, free aiportservice if you make use of it

Daily cleaning the room without requesting. Now you have to request to make up your room. Actually not much to mention. Noisy but you should have known this as the hotel is nearby the airport.

It wasn't clear that we needed to call the hotel to get the shuttle to pick us up from the airport. I would suggest to send this information clearly beforehand

The reception staff was wonderful. Let us know about dinning and even set up a cab for our early morning flight. We had to be at the airport by 4:30 AM. They were very helpful. They don't have a bar or restaurant, but they did have a food truck that was adorable. They also gave suggestions about a neighboring hotel that had public grill with a bar. The rooms were large and comfortable.

They do not have movie channels or smart TVs. They do not have their own bar/restaurant. They do have an area where you can purchase microwave foods and snacks.
