Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tampa-Oldsmar, an IHG Hotel

We are grateful to the staff at Holiday Inn Express Oldsmar for taking care of us during the uncertainty associated with Hurricane Adalia. They maintained calm and cheerful attitudes throughout our stay, which I am certain made everyone feel as at ease and safe as I did. You have an amazing team at this location!

We were very pleased with everything. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was having to pay a non-refundable $50 for our golden under the circumstances. I do understand completely though that not everyone is blessed with an angel for a fur baby. :-)

I thought the establishment was great ! Hands down. The everything was fantastic with exception to 2 things...I would improve if it were my hotel. 1) the carpets in the room should probably be sanitized and steam cleaned on a regular basis as needed... I tried walking barefooted in my room and just felt gross by my feet sticking to the carpet , and ended up keeping a moist towel next to the bed to wipe my feet on before bed activities.. 2) The pool experience was kinda small for that size hotel...but thankfully we were the only ones when we went swimming. Twas okay until I looked into the waters of the pool while swimming against the darkness colored backdrop of my swimsuit I was amazed at the. Amounts of particles and smaller debris floating throughout the pools entirety. Kind of grossed out about the possibilities of what those particles included I got out of the pool. I would suggest better pool maintenance and pump filter cleaning and exchanges on a regular basis...and probably more chemicals treatment to keep the water sanitary. Other than that I was happy with the hotel and room and breakfast as a whole... The price was a little on the higher side of others surrounding establishments but I appreciated that factor because it kept the lower quality of people away...so there was an honest balance for quality purposes. The staff were friendly and respectfully polite....💪🙏 Awesomely great and superb people working there. All of the other amenities and bathrooms and dining areas were clean and quiet. Great Atmosphere!

This hotel has been undergoing new renovations for several months, as I understand it. When we arrived to check-in, they were in the middle of installing a new lobby check-in desk, which looks very nice and in line with the other decor that has been installed so far. Nice colors of blue and white. One dining room is still under remodeling, however, the breakfast bar was excellent and we were able to sit in an adjoining dining area. I was pleased with the ample food choices available for the breakfast. It was more than a standard, meager continental breakfast! You could make your own pancakes, and their were fresh and hot egg & cheese folded omelets, French toast sticks, plenty of fresh fruit options, drink choices including coffee and various juices, and much more! Since breakfast was included in our reservation, I was happy to see that it was not a meager offering that had been hobbled up by other guests by the time we made it down to eat. Excellent and very soft NEW bed mattresses and pillows made the stay so much more relaxing. The last hotel we stayed in somewhere else had firm bedding, so this was an extra touch that I MUCH appreciated after a tiresome trip to Clearwater in heavy traffic.

Room was immaculate, staff was so professional and polite and breakfast each day was the best we’ve ever enjoyed in our travels! It was an exceptional value for the overall excellent quality of all services and amenities!

The breakfast area food is in one room and must be carried into another where the tables are located. I enjoy the places where we can get our coffee and place it on a table and then continue to get our food, keeping an eye on our table. It would have been nicer if there were trays available.

The hotel was very clean. I didn’t have any major issues. Smelled fresh also. The breakfast was okay overall. Everyone that worked there that we walked past, always spoke with a smile. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. The beds are so comfortable.

When you turn in the shower, water still comes out the faucet so your feet is somewhat covered in the water that doesn’t drain out fast enough.

Big size king suite was perfect for our large family.

I wonder if they are/were short-staffed. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (they made it eight by preparing it quickly and giving us a discount). There was only one person working the breakfast service so it was slow. He was very courteous and worked as fast as he could go but there really just needed to be another person helping! Also, the place is a little dated (re: decor and all) but as long as it’s clean (which it was) I don’t mind. I think the location should get on corporate’s list for some revamps/updates to the look though.

Clean, friendly staff and perfect location for our trip to Tampa

Rooms do not have a vent fan in the bathroom. Heat and humidity after taking a shower, mirror fogging up take about 30mins or so to clear. vent fan should be in every room. Staff was kind enough for us to try a few other rooms, those rooms did have a vent fan either.

The property is beautiful and interior of everything looks brand new and well kept!

Wish there was an option of black out curtains added to existing shades on windows to keep light out of rooms to keep rooms darker longer during the day and night!

Cheap hotel room, was able to book last minute for New Year's! Great location close to my work, close to restaurants/bars. Staff was very friendly, checkout was incredibly easy and efficient. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Cannot complain, 10/10.

I wish the room had a refrigerator and a microwave, but it didn't list that there were any, so not complaining, just wishful thinking. ;)

Most of the staff, especially Daniel and Caleb!! They could not have been more professional and personable.

The overall issue of breakfast. The menu lacked creativity!! Pork sausage was served 18 0f the 19 days we were there, and I slowly began to despise it. The male staff person was not the most helpful or sociable.
