La Quinta by Wyndham Panama City Beach/Thomas Drive

Everything was as expected, nothing bad to say at all with the facility or its safety and comfort.

What I did not like nor understand was on the reservation I requested a business invoice as always. Upon checkout, the desk person flat "REFUSED' to give me a receipt for my stay telling me "if you want a receipt, you need to get that from Booking". In all the year of doing this I have never been denied a receipt and still to this moment have yet to receive one. This will not happen again, I will not allow La Quinta nor Booking.com to screw me out of a reimbursement like this.

The hotel was amazingly clean!! Wynda (I believe that was her name) was cleaning throughout the hotel and I spoke with her. She was super kind to us. The entire hotel smelled so fresh and clean. My room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was so good and they had a very welcoming feel.

So for the bad... the fridge made a loud whining sound, but they did have maintenence come by the next morning and they fixed it. There was alot of noise in the hallway, other guests running and squealing through the hall, not that that was the hotels fault, but it made it hard to sleep through the night. The ladies at the front desk were kind of not so welcoming.

The beds were comfy and most everything seemed clean. They have waffle makers at breakfast which my kids loved.

The shower was awful. The water didn’t drain completely so you had to stand in about 2 inches of water when you shower and the shower curtain was way too short. I’ve never seen a shower curtain that short before anywhere. There was no way to take a shower without getting water everywhere because of that. Also the pool definitely needs a good cleaning. People have actually scratched words in their initials in the mold around the top edge of the pool which is pretty gross.

The location is in very good distance of the beaches, dining, and entertainment. The breakfast is very good; with good selections The pool and the spa were very clean and well kept.

The majority of the staff was very pleasant ( Especially Brittany) However, there was this one manager/clerk working the morning/day shift who had a very bad and unpleasant attitude. I simply asked did she know where the closest beach was; she rudely cut off another male staff member. Then replied " No" I don't Know where it is" with a very disrespectful attitude. That kind of attitude and unprofessionalism will slowly drain the life out of any business.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nice

I was not told when I checked in that you have to ASK front counter to have your room cleaned, so I didn’t get my room cleaned until 2 days afterwards because I didn’t know. Then I was told my puppy couldn’t stay in the room while it was being cleaned even though he was in a kennel because the cleaning person didn’t want to hear any barking or whining while they cleaned.So I had to take him out in the pool area and keep him in his kennel because dogs aren’t allowed in that area, in the heat while my kids swam and the room got cleaned.

Room was nice and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was fine and the air conditioning in the room was super cold which I loved.

The hallways and breakfast area was super hot and humid. I'm not sure if the air conditioning was working in those locations.

The point that I did not receive daily room cleaning. At price that I was charged I felt that the service should have been provided. Having to go get fresh towels should have not been a option for me. Even if the room cleaning was not use. Towels should have been provided without asking. The staff was great. But the corporate office should be more understanding of cleaning room daily not every 5 day.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, water pressure was amazing, and breakfast was fine. We were there for multiple days and got to experience several offering rotations. Cereal options were poor but there were reliably waffles and bacon or sausage each day. We all slept well and all the staff were friendly to my toddler. We would definitely stay again.

Something very small: There was no laundry bag in the closet for us to use. Breakfast chairs have seen better days.

The room size was great, my husband is a double amputee so that make it easy for him to get around in the room, the bed was very comparable. Didn't get to go to the beach, but my grandson was able to play in the hotel pool. Breakfast was great, there was even grits on the breakfast menu which my family is a fan of, and I must say it was cooked well.

I didn't fine anything that I would say I didn't like about the hotel. Location was great for us, right across from the Navy Base, plenty of restaurants close by. And Just minutes away from where we want to be.

Convenient location that met the requirements of our visit (family member’s funeral). Staff helpful, industrious and attentive to our needs (with a pet). Good value (for today’s economy).

The surrounding area is busy (due to location near the Naval facility and beaches) but accommodations were clean and comfortable and up to date, and offered a reprieve from the otherwise busy surroundings. Quiet and set away from the main thoroughfare.
