SpringHill Suites by Marriott Punta Gorda Harborside

We got in late on Thursday, March 30, 2023 and the gentleman who was working at the check in desk was so friendly. He made us feel welcome and asked if we needed a drink from the beverage fridge or a snack. We got in after 12am, and I called the front desk earlier in the day to let them know and to not give our room away. The front desk said they will not, and it wouldn't be a problem getting in late. The pool was very nice and clean. There were pool towels available to use, which was a nice feature to offer. Our room was very clean, and I am one who is very picky. The beds were comfortable. We did not do the complimentary breakfast, it looked good. The staff was so nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is in the happening spot in Punta Gorda. So many restaurants and shops near by, you could even walk to. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I hated to leave this fun area.

The parking lot is was always full, so we had to park in a area off of the parking lot.

The breakfast was the best around - hot foods, great selection of items and the staff was constantly cleaning, replenishing, and making sure everyone was getting what they needed. This hotel is so clean and well maintained. Our room was very spacious, quiet and clean. Checking in and checking out was super easy. The employees at this hotel are exceptional - pleasant, attentive, and keep everything running smoothly - Thank you, Thank you!

I didn't like that we actually had to leave - we really enjoyed our stay.

My room had a nice view of the harbor when looking out the window. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was good. It had hot and cold items. Along with a juice machine. I appreciated the water bottles along with the filtered water bottle filler in the gym. I would definitely stay here again!!

For me the lighting in the bathroom by the mirror was not bright enough. It made it difficult when trying to put on any makeup or style my hair. There was a fine line with trying to get my shower the temp I wanted. It felt hot more than a warm and when i would try to alter it, it would be more on the cold side.

The room was modern and very clean, beds very comfy. The pool area very nice (better than the website pics) and has some water toys available for kids. The breakfast was great with many options. Excellent location - about 10 minutes from the Punta Gorda airport and many restaurants within walking distance. The most impressive part was their staff - everyone we interacted with from the bartender to the front desk host were super friendly and helpful.

This is super minor but there was limited space for luggage in the room.

Breakfast good, very friendly breakfast staff. Rooms looked modern and clean. Great location, not far from Punta Gorda airport.

I had issues with Booking.com. I booked a few months prior and then found out it was cheaper that night and they wouldn't take the price that Springhill stated on their website as a price match. Booking also had it at that rate so I had to contact them twice even though I sent both screenshots of the new rate in my original email. Not the best customer service so I will not use Booking.com again.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Good coffee and selection of bakery items. The dining area was clean and well stocked for guests.

Guests were disappointed that the breakfast didn't last a little longer. We all needed the extra half-hour to get our family ready and showered for the day. When you get enough staff you should extend breakfast until 10:00 am. The quality of the warm foods could have been better. Keep it simple.

location was great. hotel helped with a tow truck when we had car issues. GREAT breakfast buffet!!!

our 2nd room had ants. hotel came & sprayed twice to try to get rid of them. said they had no available rooms to move him to.

The location was within walking distance of all of the places we planned to visit. The free breakfast was the best I’ve had in a hotel. Great selection. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

I just can’t think of anything that needed improvement.

We wished that breakfast was available until 10am during the week. No one enjoys getting uo early on vacation. This is a vacation destination and not a business destination, so a later breakfast is warranted.

The front desk people were very helpful especially Sharon. The room was clean.

The breakfast was not as good as it was in the past. The road noise was loud during the evening and morning rush. The bed was a bit too firm for me
