La Quinta by Wyndham St. Petersburg Northeast *Newly Renovated

The hotel was fine for my quick visit in St. Petersburg. The staff was friendly & welcoming & the room was spacious. Traveled to town to catch a Rays game & was pleased by how close the stadium was to the hotel.

The hotel has definitely been newly renovated, but it feels like it was done in a rush. The color scheme is a dark gray & not very inviting, there's still a slight mildew smell in the hallways/rooms that shouldn't exist in a newly done hotel...just small details like that which may or may not matter to some travelers.

I liked that the lobby was clean and had a great smell when walking through the door. The room was nice and clean. The staff is as great except for one of the staff members that told my family they had to get out of the lobby because it was closed I am thinking it was the night shift because Brianna was very pleasant and stated to me that the night shift agent is not so nice I did not get her name but whoever she was she would have to do better with her attitude because that could ruin the business

The only thing I disliked was the night shift that got a attitude with my family saying that the lobby was closed I never knew that the lobby closes at a certain time and also the pillow wish they was a firmer

The room and bathroom were clean modern & spacious. It was very convenient for us visiting family in neighborhood. A fairly short drive into downtown St Pete. Easy parking. Felt very safe here. Continental breakfast and they had 3 flavors of coffeemate. Ladies at checkin were friendly & efficient

Pool was pretty small and in the shade in late afternoon. There weren’t enough lounge chairs as a small group had taken them all. The elevator made a spooky sound like it should be in a haunted house. But those are pretty minor complaints. I wish they were PET friendly, but no longer are.

The front desk staff was wonderful . they gave you the right answer very helpful and kind. staying at this hotel make you feel like family and that's how everybody wants to feel when you go somewhere like family. If I was to rate this hotel I'll give it 15 Stars it was worth it great experience anybody see this post they should stay here and run to this hotel if they go to St Petersburg.

Every staff member was friendly...the campus is well lighted, the room was clearn, bed was spectacular!!! I'd stay here again without any doubt

7.00 bottle of water ...really? No need to make that much profit off your guest (especially for a bottle of water) when we are already paying a premium price.

Good size room. Staff was very helpful at check in, they provided a room far away from the elevator caring for our baby and his night sleep. friendly staff. Ice machine was great for our daily trip to the beach and to keep fresh our baby products. Helpful on allowing me to connect a gaming console to their TV and WIFI. Wifi not so great for online gaming though. (Yes, I was on vacations but had an online tournament during my stay, first time doing that). Even though I had some issues that I did not like I may stay here again in the future.

First room had a broken shower, they moved us to a different room, A/C wasn't great on the second room and I had to complain about some bugs in the bathroom, (Apparently they put some products in the bathroom to solve the bugs issue. I did not see more bugs during my 6 days stay). At check out I had to complain about a chirping sound on my last two nights coming from a smoke detector with low battery. Apparently, do to hotel policy, they did not allowed me to spend a few hours at the pool area after my check out.

A really nice place for a day in the beach, it is close to St Pete Beach and Fort de Soto which are lovely white sand beaches, kayaks, excursions, tiki beach bars and more… just for the half of the price of a hotel at the beach. Just 15’ minutes from beaches and 10’ from downtown St Pete

The hotel is very conveniently located on 4th Street, a main corridor in St. Petersburg close to many dining options and 10 minutes away from North Shore Aquatic Center (we were in town with our 2 children for a swim meet) , and 15 minutes away from The Pier and Downtown St. Pete. There is plenty of parking on site behind the hotel (free); check in was easy - the staff was very friendly, attentive and always available to assist; the rooms were clean - there were no signs of pests or pets in our room; we stayed for 4 nights and housekeeping cleaned our room every day promptly after we left every morning; the beds and pillows were comfortable; there is a mini-fridge in the room for your bottled waters; excellent wi-fi connection (also free); very decent breakfast (especially considering COVID limitations- bagels, pancakes (make your own), cereals, danishes/muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk, coffee (all included in room rate); there was a washer and dryer for guest use on our floor - perfect for an extended stay!

Rooms are a bit small - with a family of four, a larger room or suite would have been more comfortable; it's true that the shower has very low water pressure, must be one of those super eco-friendly models; And yes, those walls are paper thin -the hotel should definitely address that. We were lucky that we stayed on the 3rd floor (no upstairs neighbors) and thankfully, our neighbors were quiet overall.

They put me in a room facing the road. When I went downstairs my door would not close or lock. The receptionist was not surprised? They transferred me to another room after I had already unpacked but at least it was away rom the road. The bathtub was very dirty.

Our daughter is disabled and the first floor accommodations were excellent.

Our stay was awesome. However, the toilet was not cleaned, toilet paper wasn't replaced and no new water cups or coffee supplies were delivered. We stayed 5 days.
