BEST HOTEL in our entire trip. We travelled 9 states, 15 cities, 3.000 miles. ABSOLUTELLY OUTSTANDING HOTEL. So stylish, beautiful. GREAT LOCATION. GREAT GREAT GREAT COST. PERFECT ROOM, GOOD SIZE, GREAT BATHROOM, AMAZING BEDS. PERFECT VIEW. I miss the hotel already.

ABSURD Valet parking prices overnight. Sorry but even the valet himself agreed and helped us find a parking spot on the street. 40+USD/night in Savannah Georgia does not make sense. Not even in Boston, NY or Chicago we paid that.

This is definitely the best hotel i ever stayed at. The staff were extremely courteous and very helpful. There was a concierge on staff to help us navigate the city. This hotel has a 5-star restaurant on board as well, in my professional and honest opinion, and I'm an Executive Chef so I know what I'm talking about. The food was AMAZING!!!! The hotel location to downtown Savannah is really close. I recommend just parking your car near the hotel and then just using UBER to travel downtown. I can't wait to return!!!!

May be a little pricey but i think it is worth it!!!! No microwave or refrigerator in the rooms but you can use the mini bar refrigerator as one if you really need it. LOL!!! Can't really think of anything else I didn't like about this hotel to tell you the truth!

the hotel is very nice, trendy, comfortable. amenities are excellent, great terrasse and swimming pool as well staff is very nice rooms ate comfortable and large space, with everything that we need location is nice, even if it’s not in town, it is very easy to access the restaurants and downtown Savannah in walking distance along the river, it’s a great promenade at night! several restaurants and bars, music, rooftop.. everything available for everyone

the view on the HVAC system (could be possible to put a roof or anything that would prevent us from seeing all these machines. the view on the plants a few miles away, the noise of the trains at night

A nice, new hotel with a great vibe and smells wonderful. From the minute you get out your taxi to housekeeping and everyone in between the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast, dinner and the rooftop for drinks/appetizers.

Regarding location: this hotel is in a newly developed area on the river that will continue to grow but for some it may feel a bit off the beaten path as compared to The Desoto or River Inn, After cocktails and dinner we actually enjoyed our evening walks back to the hotel. The only negative are the dogs, sometimes they are huge, untrained and attack the other dogs, please leave them home (I know people will get pissed at that but it is the truth) Savannah is a great walkable city ... Enjoy

We really liked the friendly, courteous staff. Also the facilities, especially the pool and sunbeds - we made use of the cabana. The rooms were very well-equipped and very stylish. The design of the whole property was thoughtfully done. I was especially impressed by the flow of the design from entering the lobby which flowed into the lounge/bar area and then on into the restaurant. even the elevators looked stylish! The bed we slept in was very comfortable and the bathroom was very well laid out. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar which again was designed with a fantastic view of the city, river and bridge. The sunset from the rooftop bar was amazing!

I really can’t think of anything other than having to walk into the city as it was St Patrick’s day but I understand the shuttle bus would be available on a normal day when the streets are not blocked off.

Upgraded to corner river front room. Concierge was most helpful in providing suggestions for things to do and see, along with maps of Savannah historic district.

Lack of coffee maker in room and complementary coffee in lobby wasn't available until 7AM. Valet parking too expensive. Was able to park safely on street directly in front of hotel.

This is my husband & I second stay @ this property & I can say every time has been consist. We enjoyed the light fresh breakfast @ Fleeting. In the evening we will indulge @ Bar Fleeting; we enjoyed cocktails from the “Famous Emmanuel”. In addition, we can not forget to Thank Bernard Boyce one of the Concierge Attendant for always checking in on us and providing recommendations in the city of Savannah, his service is truly stellar. Furthermore, the entire staff provided amazing service. We had a opportunity to speak with General Manager and he made sure he talked with all guests in the hobby to make sure, their expectations were being met. We will definitely return again, in the future.

The Thompson is a brand new hotel in Savannah, located on the riverfront, but a little removed from all the bars on River Street. The hotel is beautifully designed, and our riverview room was spacious. You can either walk to River Street or downtown (a nice riverfront promenade will get you there without having to cross any streets), or there's a city shuttle bus you can catch for free just around the corner from the hotel. We enjoyed the pool and rooftop bar, too, and have to give a shoutout to the friendly staff, who always greeted us whenever we walked through the lobby.

Soundproofing in the rooms doesn't seem to be the best, but I think that's true of most hotels these days.

great aesthetic and design; very comfortable and spacious room; large bed and powerful shower; many amenities provided; v much enjoyed the range of facilities eg rooftop bar, restaurant and pool available during our stay; staff were kind enough to accommodate a late check out on short notice and very friendly overall; great movie/TV selection

would have appreciated fewer signs noting that the complimentary toiletries were not to be taken and instead to be purchased at X value; could have done with more lighting in the room; location is a little out of town so not the most convenient as closest part of town is river st which was super hectic, but that was known before arrival!

The Thompson Savannah is in a great location! It is a .5 mile walk to River St. along the river so it is an enjoyable walk. It is also on the outside of the city so leaving and coming from the hotel in a vehicle was easy.

We had to pay for parking at the hotel. There is no microwave in the room and the refrigerator didn't get very cold and it was already stocked with various stuff that would be charged to your room if you drank it ($4 for a mini Coke!), so that was inconvenient. Would have rather had an empty fridge that got cold enough to store the drinks I prefer in it, as well as leftovers. The pool is also very small for the amount of people staying in the hotel.
