La Quinta by Wyndham Collinsville - St. Louis

The staff was very helpful when we requested extra towels and luggage racks. The beds were the best of the seven we slept in during our three week travels. The flavor changes to the waffle batter was fun and the slight variations in the breakfast menu was a good break. The staff went above and beyond finding three luggage racks for our stay and extending our stay in the same room when bad weather caused problems for us the day were were scheduled to leave. Really impressed that they had cranberry juice, too. Over all, it was a great base to visit our family in the area from.

The AC was not great, had to turn it way down to keep the room cool anywhere beyond the first bed and the desk, and the room didn't originally have any luggage in it. The bathroom counter space was small for even two adults let alone three of us.

The beds were comfortable but could maybe be replaced soon as I found a large stain on the side of the mattress while inspecting for bed bugs, which I did not find any of. It felt clean and comfortable. The AC unit did not make any loud, uncomfortable noises throughout the night. It goes as low as 61 degrees which was awesome during this insane summer heat. Breakfast was okay. The waffle maker had some sticky burnt stuff on it. I made an extra waffle to hopefully pick up some of the burnt stuff but the second waffle stuck worse so we didn't make a third for my partner. It seemed like the waffle machine hadn't been cleaned recently. The waffle I made tasted fine, and what I would expect at a hotel continental breakfast. My partner ate the scrambled eggs and sausage and really enjoyed them. He said the eggs were seasoned very nicely. The juice machine was great! It's a very safe area. Away from the interstate but still close enough that it costs no time to get back onto the road. Parking was available and not difficult to find. Lots of food options around too!

The elevator seemed a little sketchy but it never made any weird noises while we used it. The walk-in shower was nice since I personally do not like tubs in a hotel room but they seemed a little older and like they needed to be replaced/ re-done soon.

Location Facility Room Rate Bed with the 5 pillows the let out couch the TV placement that swiveled so that when I Sat at the desk I could turn the TV turns me the channel selections were great the channel guide was in the TV with times of whatever entertainment you wanted to watch Plenty of restaurants in the area just 20 min ride from the Arch Tour in St Louis swimming pool was open til 10 pm fitness room was 24 hrs breakfast was great meat eggs waffle maker (strawberry flavor for an option) I chose a room on the top floor and my window caught the sunset each day I was there. The elevator was quick but loud lol. The staff was very nice. Any questions I had they answered. A very positive atmosphere

Now... whatever you do, don't get any room near the elevator and the ice machine. The ice machine surges all night long and the elevator you can hear "ding" and the movement of the door opening and closing I had room 317 I could've made the complaint to switch rooms but by the time I realized what was going on I had already settled in and was pleased with my view

I was traveling by myself, and I am disabled and use a wheelchair. But from the moment I checked in, I felt welcome, comfortable, and SAFE! The friendly staff and the size and accessibility of the handicapped room made my stay better. The bathroom looked updated and beautiful! The breakfast was yummy, and the lobby was welcoming.

The only thing that needs any change is...the building is showing its age. It was obvious that some things have been updated, but other areas would benefit from new carpet and a coat of paint. But that didn't affect my stay at all.

I believe this is a family-owned establishment. The staff couldn't have been nicer. All three gentlemen I interacted with were very pleasant and professional. I got a great price through booking.com, and was so pleased with the value! The room was a good size and very clean. Breakfast was excellent.

The facility is a bit dated, but that didn't detract at all from my experience. It's very well-maintained; you can tell that work is going into the place.

I was attending a conference in the area. The majority of our group stayed at Doubletree and I stayed at La Quinta. My room was much larger than theirs. My fridge was twice the size of theirs. My housekeeping staff were super professional and efficient, my friends couldn't get extra toilet paper without an act of Congress! The breakfast was good, but they ran out of oatmeal on the 3rd day of my four day stay. MO

The location was nice and convenient to everything. Water park walking distance from hotel and an arcade bowling alley about 15 minutes away. The staff was very friendly. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Nothing I didn't like. Everything was good. Family just wished for more breakfast choices, but that didn't affect stay or lower its rating any for me.

Spacious king room. The bed was comfortable with plenty of extra pillows with varying firmness. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Great location right across the street from the convention center and also near plenty of places to eat.

The water pressure was a bit low. The couch in our room had quite a few stains on it and the fitness center smelled like it was used as a kennel

Location was nice, staff very friendly. When I arrived, another guest was complaining about something, and the night shift front desk clerk maintained his composure and was very calm and polite. Once he was able to check me it, was was very polite and quick

Breakfast was okay, not as hot as we would have liked, the floor seemed to have some crumbs or debris on it one one side of one of the beds, hole in one of the sheets, carpet had a gouge in it between the beds, I am guessing they may be a bit short staffed at the moment like so many other places

Loved the location... Staff we very friendly and check in was very simple. Was surprised the outdoor pool was open. The room was clean, the shower was warm, and the breakfast was good.

A wet basement smell was present in the room, the elevator broke, and we got stuck in the elevator for about 2 minutes. Ended up using the stairs the rest of the stay.
