Loved the building remodel and the story behind the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable. Quiet. Friendly staff.

They seem to be plagued with supply shortages. Cleaning staff told me they were out of hand soap, and there were no coffee creamer or sugar in the room, only lots of decaf coffee. The restaurant was also short staffed, but food was excellent. I needed a valet after 11 pm, but I guess a staff issues caused them to limit valet hours. I used an adjacent open lot to park overnight; they had video security cameras and my car was fine.

check in staff were very accommodating and friendly. Cute king sized room with huge shower.

The guy who brought us our car the next morning was quite rude. I quietly and patiently waiting for my car to be brought around from their parking garage and when I walked up to him to get the keys he looked and me and said “what do you want.”… very rudely. I also carried my bags by myself to the car as he grabbed one pair of shoes to carry and when I said thank you he just looked at me. No thank you for staying, have a nice day, nothing.

The decor!! I loved that the hotel kept the old charming details of the building and incorporated them into the design. I'm not sure why other reviewers complained of peeling ceiling paint -- they are the original ceilings and are a major design element. If you don't like architectural character then I suggest going somewhere else. But if you prefer tasteful renovations, thoughtful & impeccable design and amazing facilities, then this is the place for you. I'd come back to St Louis just to stay here again.

The only con was that the front desk and security weren't on the same page regarding the pool hours, and the bar closed super early, but it wasn't a big deal. We still got to enjoy them.

Rashad was great! The pool closes at 8 pm after we had arrived so he arranged for us to swim in the morning and for a checkout at 12 noon. Swimming was a highlight!! The decor was great. Loved the downtown location. Nice local beer at the bar.

Extensive policy that must be signed before checking in. But it hopefully keeps the place neater and cleaner. ;)

I loved the history of the building (it was built in 1909) and the staff indulged us in some fun ghost stories. The staff was really nice. I loved the industrial style. It's a beautiful building. The beds were comfy and we had plenty of space in the room. I loved the high ceiling and big windows. The rooftop pool was open but we came during the end of winter and so it was a little too cold to swim.

I didn't like the odd hours of the restaurant. They seemed to always be closed. There's no real room service. And we had to ask a few times for extra towels. The coffee bar in the room could be better stalked. There was no cream, sugar or reg coffee pods. We did hear a car alarm go off (for a long time) at 2 am. That's not the hotel's fault but bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

the room had a big king bed, big shower, tv, mini fridge, and was overall very nice. there’s a pool on the rooftop, has a great view of the city, and there’s a bar up there as well but was not open at this time of year (march). restaurant and bar downstairs was fantastic. biggest compliment would be that all of the staff was extremely kind and nice.

paid $40 to park across street in a parking lot. only complaint. someone had their window broken on their vehicle during the night as well in the same parking lot, so i am just thankful my car was not damaged. down town st louis area is not very safe late at night.

Wonderfully clean and stylish interior; located right next door to the City Museum (HIGHLY recommended). It also had the only restaurant open on a Sunday night for many blocks around. Nice lobby bar and restaurant - not a huge menu but the food was excellent and the drinks well mixed. Grateful for the valet parking.

Breakfast was pretty bare-bones - we ended up going a few blocks away for a fuller menu. Friday and Saturday nights were quite loud in the neighborhood (not the hotel's fault!), so bring earplugs or white noise apparatus.

The Rooftop and the pool

Overpriced Cocktail drinks at the rooftop. The towel guy gave towels to most of the people on the pool except us. It says that there will be slippers and Bath Rob in the room but there is non. No Sugar, creamer, mixer on the coffee tray. All they have is just coffee. Theres no signs on the room number on the hallway. So its hard to find your room if you will go left or right. Theres no so much sign if where is the elevetor just exit like its hard to follow. The shower is so weak like its hard to tale a shower. TV is so hard to use. Cant connect my phone to the tv. The pool is kinda dirty and slippery at the bottom. You cant even smell the chlorine that means it needs more or to change the water.
