What’s not to like?! This bed and breakfast is a refreshing change from hotel chains. The home is beautiful inside and out, and everything seems to be well maintained. The staff was helpful and easy to reach. My only regret was not having more time to extend my stay. I hope to be back. If your travels take you to the area, Harvey House should be at the top of your list for accommodations.

Excellent continental breakfast

The Breakfast was perfect! Variety of Breads, Cheese, Pastries, Coffee, Diary, condiments and overall a fine presentation. I loved the fact the the Hostess communicated via Text before arriving and providing instructions upon arrival.

My main concern was the dated bedroom decor. The foyer and sitting area on the bottom floor as well as the kitchen were pleasantly decorated. The upstairs bedroom that I was assigned had an abundance of furniture which was dated and cluttered for my taste. In 2021, travelers want to relax in an environment that invites you in. Minimalist decor is desired, with so much turmoil in this world you want to unwind and feel at ease.

We liked everything! The house is beautiful and have everything you need for a getaway: delicious breakfast, calm ambience, nice music in the living room area, gorgeous art in the dinning room and very quiet staircase.

Everything was good. We couldn't find anything to say that we did not like in the house. Maybe the TV was too small for some people. We visited in the winter and we did not have the chance to see the backyard but overall the house was excellent.

I loved everything about this place. The ambience in the main areas and kitchen were elegant and relaxing. The room was spacious. The bed and chaise lounge were extremely comfortable!

I honestly can’t think of one thing I didn’t like.

The hostess was amazing. She took the time to chat with me.....a very warm and open person. I ended up talking to her for an hour the next morning about common interests. She was great!

Nothing

Great breakfast... the room felt very relaxed is what we needed when walking everywhere in Chicago and Oak Park.

The price is a bit expensive when the place is not far from the train tracks. Otherwise, this is my second visit to Harvey. We feel safe in this neighborhood. Frank Llyod Wright 's neighborhood is soooo awesome.

Exceptionally clean and Beth alone was enough. My husband had to pull me away from her because I enjoyed her so much.

My husband was disappointed he didn’t get to taste Beth’s food. Stupid Covid changed everything. She had a nice spread out though so I was happy. Everything is so cute. From the toaster to the egg cooker. Will be going back.

Extremely clean and comfortable in every part of the house. Breakfast was an assortment of baked goods from local bakeries, juice, and dairy-free options.

I loved everything about this stay

The atmosphere and decor was exceptional and the hospitality was such a respite from the hustle of the big city!

There wasn't anything I disliked! Everything was lovely.
