The Hotel & Athletic Club at Midtown

Facility was great and clean, it was so nice to be able to access the gym/pool/class areas as a hotel guest. Also great that parking is free for hotel guests. Spa front desk attendant was super nice and aestheticians were amazing and knowledgeable.

Upon check-in front desk staff wasn't that knowledgeable and I asked for early check in if possible and I was told I would be contacted if it was and when I went later to the front desk again to check again, the room was ready but no one contacted me. Also feel like front desk should explain where everything is located for first time guests. The poolside snack bar was out of a lot of food by 1pm.

The location was great although if you don't have a car it would be a little more difficult to access the trains from here directly without having to take a bus first. The breakfast was great at the hotel. I wish the spa was open a little earlier and later in the day as I really wanted to take advantage of the spa services but they were only open during times when I was occupied with work.

Be careful, people fly through the parking garage and it's easy to get hit while parking or walking. I would like them to maybe install speed bumps or something to help with this.

The restaurant was really nice once I located it, being a hybrid cafe was a little disconnecting but once I figured it out it was nice. the staff was also wonderful. I have some difficulties breathing at night since COVID if there isn’t some decent air movement in the room and when I called down to the desk at 3am someone found a fan and brought it to me allowing me to rest at least a little bit.

Since it’s an athletic club AND a hotel the check in process was a bit unorthodox for someone who wasn’t a seasoned traveler and I had to squeeze between a fire extinguisher enclosure and some fencing in the parking garage where they have an impromptu gym setup on the fourth level of the parking garage.

Staff was very friendly and I loved while I was taking a Pilate class or massage, our kids and hubby could also spend time with tennis and pool. Also, I love the shower powefulness unlike lots of downtown hotel shower are very week.

My husband cannot drink coffee so it would be nice if they have tea option in the room. I wonder if we request in advance, that would have been possible.

The facilities were fantastic and the location was ideal. The room was clean and good decor. Loved the free parking, pool access, and on-site restaurant.

Only thing I will complain about are people dropping weights at 6am on the 3rd floor. The ear plugs provided for the hotel guests on the 4th floor don't work because the vibrations wake you.

Very nice family hotel/athletic facility. Loved the pool and the staff always responded to every request. Rooms were very nice and roomy! Location was good between Wrigley and a variety of restaurants with short Uber rides! Do not recommend walking!

Always read the info sheets they give you as you have to request ANY type of housekeeping! Disappointed as only food service was ‘grab and go’ but they said they had staff shortages! We really missed a nice breakfast! When you check in request a room not under heavy barbell training as over two days it woke us up at 6AM with the dropping of the barbells!

The facility was awesome. This does not relate to the facility, but the amount Bookings.com said I would pay, and what I was invoiced were not the same. Not materially different (~1% more), but still not what was stated as the total price at the time of booking.

The property was very nice, staff were friendly, and it had a very modern look. Front desk staff were very nice and knowledgeable.

As it is athletic facility, I could hear weights being dropped throughout the morning from the floor below and swim class outside with loud music. If your looking to sleep in this isn’t your place.

Amazing sports facilities, esp pools and courts. Very comfy beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy location to walk to neighbourhood restaurants which much better value than downtown.

Pool very crowded at weekend with club members. Restricted food/ bar opening hours and no room service.

Great classes and amenities. We traveled with friends who like to workout and we all got to choose how we did that be it equipment/yoga/body pump/etc. Very fun place.

The morning we checked out, house keeping started knocking on the doors at 8:30am and two more times even after I told them we were not checking out until 11:00.
