SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Auburn

A classic old inn that has been well maintained. Shopping centers and restaurants have grown up around it, but it retains its old time feel. Lobby is like a homey living room. Guest room was very well appointed and looked as if it were redone fairly recently. Carpet and furnishings were not worn, and it was spotlessly clean. Although the property is close to busy route 69, it was quiet in the hotel. Breakfast was more continental style, without hot items that require kitchen preparation, except for oatmeal. There are hard boiled eggs and a waffle maker.

There are two screened porches, to the left and right of the entrance. One is smoking, the other non-smoking. (There is no smoking in the hotel itself.) My wife didn't like the smoking porch, but I consider this a quibble. It was a reasonable accommodation for those who still suffer from that particular addition.

We didn't have a chance to eat breakfast there so I can't say if it was good or bad. The furnishings were comfortable and the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows.

It was an older facility but the front entrance door was sticking due to humidity. Also we had a hard time with the door at the ramp with the cart having a problem getting over the threshhold.

This hotel has been around for a while. It is quaint and done nicely. The front desk lady was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The microwave and fridge worked very well. The breakfast was really good.

There was no Kleenex in the room and the large trash can was missing the bag. The windows are old and you can here the semis getting off the interstate. The toilet is very close to the floor.

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and the beds were really comfortable. Conveniently located by the freeway, Walmart and several restaurants. The staircase and decorations of the hotel was gorgeous. There was a nice patio in the front of the hotel.

The rooms were a little out dated. The breakfast was a little under whelping.

Good location and close parking. Enjoyed the porch.

Still no ice. I read in the reviews from September that the ice machine was broken. It’s the middle of October and not only is the ice machine still broken but now the cold drink machine is out of order. The heat/AC in our room made a loud ticking noise all night so we turned if off our second night. This is a really nice place - super clean and friendly people. Hope they get these things fixed so future travelers can give it an excellent rating.

Loved this hotel - can't wait to return! The room was roomy, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, suggesting good places to eat and things to do. Loved the lobby -old fashioned elegance and very cosy. For us, the open Bibles on the side tables were a lovely touch, and much appreciated. There was a breakfast buffet, with good coffee. The hotel itself was in a very convenient spot for surrounding stores and retaurants.

I really can't thing of anything we didn't like.

Everything was great for the most part. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Being close to the highway off ramp and being on the side the of the hotel closest to it was not good. Hearing the semi trucks engine braking as they come down the off ramp was loud and bothersome.

It was easy to access with a grocery store nearby. I liked the fact that it wasn’t all shiney, glassy, and modernized. It felt like Imwas staying in an old, well preserved hotel!

It could have been a little brighter in the lobby and halls.

I liked the looks of the hotel. Very nice and homey. The bed was nice. I liked that it already had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Staff was very nice and didn't make me feel uncomfortable when I was there. I liked how close you are to everything and most was in walking distance.

Only 2 things I didn't like is when people where outside you could hear them talking. The other thing I didn't like is it didn't have information on the times of the breakfast. Otherwise everything was great.

The SureStay hotel is in a great location. The price is very reasonable. The staff are very friendly, they have a smoking area. Their breakfast is more than just a bagel or cereal, we seen biscuits and gravy, waffles, awesome!!! We stay at SureStay evrrytime we go to Indiana!
