It was different than usual. coffee makers were a bit confusing at first, but good coffee was enjoyed. Jimmie Dean sandwiches were ok and better than eggs in a bucket and soggy sausage. Open area was comfortable.

Check-in was confusing. Several people standing in line to be waited on and noone was present except house maids that didn't speak English. These people had already checked in and could not get into their rooms as the locks were malfunctioning. When I finally got to the desk clerk, it took forever to get lock card and it too did not work. I had to go through 4 cards to find one that worked.

A nice hotel in a good area. The staff were very pleasant and the beds were comfy. The salt pool was great, but supposed to be heated and wasn't, so we didn't stay in long! The shower was great and the hotel provided shampoo/conditioner etc. Breakfast was nice but fairly limited and checkout was easy! A nice little place

Our bathroom had A LOT of someone else's hair all over it, so I had to do a bit of wiping down of surfaces myself which was a shame.

This is a continental breakfast. Mainly cold items- cereal, etc.

I prefer a breakfast with more offerings. They had a round table in mid-room stocked with cold items-cereal, boiled egg, yogurt, etc. A gentleman asked for a lid for his coffee (served in a disposable cup) and was told they don't provide those. I have never encountered this situation prior to this and do not understand the reasoning. Although the room is new and clean, the construction of the building does allow noise to travel from room to room.

Having Booking.com not send my information to Avid Hotel and Avid having to call YOU to get info. They swiped my credit card and that was ok. However, early the next morning Booking.com charged my credit card with more than Avid., So, now I have two charges on my account for 1 night stay and Booking.com has not credited my account. If this is not resolved in the next few days I will go online to your account and Avid's to give my very poor evaluation of your company. If I had any say with Avid I would suggest they cut ties with you from here on out.

The AVID Hotels are what I would consider a no frills hotel with all the basics that most travelers need to be comfortable. The rooms are extremely clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Nice TVs, plenty of USB outlets, clean bathrooms. Eco friendly with minimal waste and most things recyclable. Friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast with several choices.

Nothing that I could think of for us.

New clean efficient

The night manager complained about my online reservation company, and he charged me through the hotel instead of my online funds. So I was charged double, and I HAD TO GO THROUGH A BUNCH OF YOU KNOW WHAT! Luckily, another very nice manager listened and fixed it. Too bad cuz you have a nice property in a place where lots of people, including us, travel through..

i enjoyed the layout of the halls and rooms, it seemed to help keep the halls quiet and I appreciated that. i also appreciate that they allowed cats as I think they may be the only one in Hays, and cats are family too. can’t leave them behind with the move :)

there was only 2 entrances and they were essentially next to eachother anyways.

We liked the lack of carpeting in the rooms, minimalistic approach to furnishings but everything we needed and everything was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast had nice choices.

Our only complaint is there was no whole wheat bread for toast but we realize you have to limit things somewhere or your expense will be more.

Clean and affordable

Housekeeping short sheet the bed. Not sure if a prank. Room was very cold when we walked in. The PTAC (AC) should be set to low fan speeds and set to auto. If not the compressors cycle off and bring in raw humid air and makes the rooms very humid and uncomfortable. Would be different if the units had been provided with internal energy recovery wheels and hot gas reheat.

Very good value, location and super clean.

On Sunday morning breakfast was not setup at 7:30 so we went out to get food by the time we got back they did have it set and ready to go.
