Quality Inn Hays I-70

The location was very central. There were quite a few restaurants within walking distance. They allow dogs. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The bed was good. I didn't use the pool, I forgot my suit, but it looked very clean. They allow dogs for an additional fee of $25.

This has no bearing on the hotel or it's staff, but the person or persons that checked into the room above me were very heavy walkers and stayed up late. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well. Also, I traveled with my dog. I didn't pay attention to the fact that the doors are inside down a hallway. I'd rather be able to just walk outside.

We liked that it was walking distance to a lot of places to eat. After a long drive and towing an SUV, it was convenient to walk where we wanted to eat! The breakfast was okay, I wished they had better eggs to serve for breakfast. Other than that, our stay was great!

Parking was a little tight in the back. But, we managed and was able to park next to the hotel building by the Mexican restaurant.

The receptionist was very friendly and the room was nice except the usual accumulation of devices with red or blue lights that I had to unplug best I could.

The curtains were way too small and the bright lights from outside the window kept the room well lit all night long.

Very good breakfast burrito was a pleasant surprise during this covid time. Also yogurt , cereal, bagels and cream cheese. Coffee machine also held delicious coffee in a variety of strengths. We did not use the waffle iron, but others did. All in all a very nice breakfast.

Housekeeping seemed to have missed our room’s sink area (missing clean/wrapped soap and no coffee packets). Otherwise very clean room. Manager expressed concern and wrote info in a book at the desk. Manager was friendly and eager to please.

Proprietor was a bit hard to understand. And for some strange reason, I think it was the night auditor who called to ask who we were. I didn't ask about it in the morning since my car was still here. Whatever!

Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable, htg/ac worked great and was quiet. Indoor pool was a plus and nice. Only complaint was the internet was a slow but effective. Very good stay and value for the money was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to others and will stay here again in the future.

im not going to lie, its a little scary in the parking lot and lots of trash on the way in. the 1st floor rooms literally sit on the parking lot but it was fine. it definately needs an update/refresh but for an overnight stay, perfect.

Breakfast mediocre. Bland (stale?)scrambled egg.dry bagel. Coffee was great.

It was a little inconvenient to carry baggage up to the second floor with no elevator.

exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. fan did not run. it just made a really loud humming noise and you could smell the hot motor
