La Quinta by Wyndham West Monroe

The kids and I really enjoyed the nice refreshing pool. Just wish that had umbrellas for shade for grandma. The breakfast was really tasty with a large selection. The location was excellent. We visited Surge for the kids which is right down the road. We visited the Louisiana Purchase Zoo, which has had a very much needed makeover. Just a nice quite place and good location. There is also a walking trail Restoration Park right next door - excellent.

There was a smell when we first got to our room. It wasn't awful just different. Needed a late check out option, family emergency happened and needed a later check out. We ended up staying another day but that was just fine.

The room was quiet. The breakfast was good.

Beds were too high for a mobility access room. It was difficult to get on and off the bed easily. A stool would have been helpful for accessibility for such a high bed but would have created its own trip hazard. The accessible shower created a waterfall down the incline onto the rest of the bathroom floor. We had to use multiple towels to dry the floor so that it wouldn’t be slippery. This is a serious safety hazard.

We loved all the staff! They were very welcoming! The lady that made us breakfast everyday was amazing and she definitely deserves a raise for not only great hospitality but great food as well!

The only thing that was a little annoying was the smell in the elevator! It wasn’t something that would stop me from booking here again but something I would love to see fixed!

-VERY spacious room and great layout (pictures included) -Hot Breakfast was great (muffins, sausage patties, eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles/waffle maker, cereal, etc) -The bathroom was nice as well except the mirror light wasn’t working and when it finally kicked in, it kept flickering on and off (pictures included) -Pool was decent -For towels or basic housekeeping, I just left my used towels and the trash bins outside the door. After day 1 i realized they don’t enter the rooms like they used to pre-covid -Also, call for your towels (i been doing this pre-covid so I wouldn’t have to worry about needing any later)

-Kinda pricey for 4 nights but it was worth it -Was on the third floor and the down button to call the elevator wasn’t working so you have to press the up button in order to get to the 1st floor

Have stayed here several times, front staff is always very friendly, welcoming and this latest stay was very kind when I left my key card in room 2 times. Rooms was cool and comfortable, bed/pillows were great, bath was clean and well stocked.

Carpet in room was quite tattered, did mention it to front desk on check out, needs to be replaced.

liked it very much but we were coming in a serious storm….texted the facility per Booking.com and their system didn’t work with Bookings system. Room was cancelled at 3 am when we arrived. Staff member was difficult at first but after showing him my texts he got us another room for the same cost. rest of stay was great and facility was really nice and comfortable. Day staff was great!

After booking and checking in at Quality Inn next door we asked for a refund and left due to mold and the horrendous dampness in the room. We were skeptical about the La Quinta and we asked to see a room before booking. The room was fantastic with bigger beds and more room. The price was exceptional as well.

we needed a one night hotel with two rooms for large family evacuating from Hurricane Ida. it was along the route and convenient. We were tired from being on the road for 10 days and a little crabby. The clerk at the front desk was just as nice as she could be, helped us calm down when we got a little frustrated over not having the information handy that we needed to register. she served us with a big old smile even though we weren’t smiling.. but she sure put a smile on our face by the time it was all said and done. Really appreciated that. the other attendant .. a Male.. was equally as pleasant and offered to come get the cart from us after we brought it up and unloaded it. The rooms were surprisingly very well appointed Very stylish, comfortable and clean. We didn’t expect that with a La Quinta. You’ve come a long way and have certainly changed our mind about the franchise! as other have mentioned a weird smell I’ll comment on that. the elevator has a really unpleasant smell. it seems to be contained to just there though. the pool was also nice enough for ur grandkids to burn off some energy!

The lobby and the room were very nice and clean. Good location, right off highway (I-20) with plenty of restaurants nearby—some you can walk to. Free internet and free continental breakfast. Great value for the money.

The elevator was “rough,” some broken paneling around buttons and it gave you a nice smell of the Louisiana Bayou—opening into a hallway that smelled just as ripe. Despite the hallway and elevator needing remodeled, we were very surprised and pleased with our room!! Very clean.

Very friendly staff. Accepts pets! Ease of check-in/check-out. Quiet., comfortable rooms. Decent, simple breakfast to start the day. Meets basic needs. Have stayed here before.

Luggage carts are VERY scarce. Rooms are well worn. Missing bedding for sleeper sofa. Missing a set of towels, tissue box empty, toiletries scarce. Need specific dog walking area with dooty-bags and waste cans.
