Bangor Inn & Suites

The breakfast is one of the best we've had at a hotel. The staff were very nice and friendly.

I requested a handicap accessible bathroom. It was quite small, and basically was a wet bath with the roll in shower only separated from the toilet by a cloth shower curtain. The arm chair in the room was not very comfortable and a sofa would have been nice. We stayed the night before in a much larger, brighter, newer and nicer room in Rockland with a view of the harbor, which had two queen beds, a sofa, and other amenities that this hotel lacked for virtually the same price.

As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is dated. You can tell from the outside it’s older and as an example of how it was dated inside, it had a blue toilet and tub. We went in knowing that so didn’t mind. It was clean and staff was super friendly! They had a great breakfast—even had some servers. They also had nice extras like donuts when we arrived and we were told they were putting out chips shortly after we arrived. Nice extras!

Along with the dates, tub didn’t drain properly—nothing that we found terribly bothersome.

The only problem was that I a booked through booking.com and when I got there to the desk they had no record of the booking at all. I showed them the confirmation email and reference numbers and confirmation on booking.com but they had nothing on their system. So I had book again there at the desk, thankfully I wasn't charged twice. I would highly recommend the hotel but would say to book through them directly instead of booking.com

Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet, wi-fi available in room, very nice breakfast. We've stayed there several times and would definitely choose to stay again. Most reasonably priced when there is no special event scheduled in Bangor!

Cleaning agents used to service room were a bit strong, but we were able to open the window to air it out. The screen in our room's window was damaged and could allow bugs to enter, but none were present on the day/time when we wanted to get some fresh air.

It was a pleasure from check-in to check-out. This is an older hotel which we have stayed at many times especially in years gone by. Our 13 year old grandson was with us and he's a traveller! He's used to resorts and higher end hotels. He said it was the best experience, he loved it. The rooms were cleaner than other 4 stars we've stayed, the breakfast and the lady working there couldn't have been more helpful or any friendlier, as well as the gentleman who checked us in. These days customer service, or lack thereof has become the "norm". These people still offer customer service and it didn't go unnoticed.

The low toilet!

Room was clean, plenty of towels, plenty of hot water with a lot of pressure. Heat and air conditioning available. A wide variety of channels on tv including HBO. Had breakfast and snacks available at no extra charge. Room was quiet. Coffee maker available in room.

No refrigerator. No bottled water in room. No cleaning and replacement of toiletries each night of stay. Toilet seat was peeling/damaged and looked worn. Round toilet - prefer elongated toilets. Towels scratchy. Internet - not secure and slow.

The breakfast is excellent, The motel is a little dated but don't let that stop you from staying here. the room is clean and the staff is really nice. the property is clean and well lighted. Beds are very comfortable and the staff will do everything they can to make your stay there comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there. I would highly recommend this motel.

There is nothing to dislike , this motel is an excellent place to stay.

it was quiet and easily accessible. close to places that I needed or wanted to go in the area. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very pleasant and professional.

The television could have been bigger and there could have been a mini fridge and a microwave in the room instead of a wardrobe with an ironing board. I did stay for two days and that would have been helpful and less expensive for food choices.

Great free breakfast, extremely pleasant and capable staff, and a clean, comfortable room. The location was great for me as well - close to all sorts of things, but secluded enough that when I stepped outdoors on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, all I could hear were the sounds of nature. No cars or horns, no shouting - just total peace and quiet, within a ten minute walk of three different outdoor malls, and a half mile from the highway.

I really don't have anything that could have been improved, not for the price. It isn't a fancy place, so for someone with fancy tastes, it might not work. But I don't think Bangor is the place for people with fancy tastes.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was quiet and the breakfast was amazing! Scrambled eggs, sausages, cereal, fruit and really great coffee. There were two very nice attendants serving breakfast. The hotel is near two very good restaurants that you can walk to. The front desk employee was very friendly and efficient and offered us free donuts, coffee and snacks on arrival. This place is very large and well located. We would stay here again.

The bathroom had a blue tub and toilet- very outdated. The ceiling was in bad shape. The tap water tasted like bleach- awful.
