This BnB was located in Davis Square, conveniently located near a subway stop so you can access anywhere in Boston during your stay. The host, Christina, was really friendly, very communicative with clear directions prior to my arrival, and during my stay was always available during breakfast to check-in, chat and ask questions. Breakfast was offered every morning, with access to pastries, cereal, and the fridge in the kitchen, creating a very welcoming and at home environment. Lastly, the room was great value, felt private, and comfortable for my stay in Boston.

I personally didn't have any concerns about my stay here. I would say make sure that you're okay with climbing a few flights of stairs to get to your room. Also, the BnB may be more suited for individuals/couples rather than for families with children.

We loved the location of this B&B. The entrance to the Blue line of the subway system was only two blocks away, giving us easy access to the center of Boston without the hassle of driving there or finding a place to park. There are many unique dining options in the immediate area that are easy and safe to walk to. Our host provided several bread options, fresh fruit, several flavors of yogurt and types of milk and fruit juice. The coffee service was with a Keurig with several types of coffees to choose from.

Although our very spacious room was comfortable, its bathroom was located a few steps across the hall. It is also on the floor that has the common lounge and breakfast kitchen.

The common area with the living room and kitchen were spacious. The location is convenient being close to Davis Square and to many restaurants and shops. The area feels safe and vibrant and yet quiet in the evenings. Christina and Steven were great hosts as they were warm, courteous and welcoming. Christina spends time with the guests to make sure they get the information they needed.

Not much except the bathroom for the King bedroom is a few steps across the hall (common area) which is a very minor inconvenience.

The owners are very nice and friendly people. The breakfast had all kinds of options with juice, fresh fruit, tea, coffee selections, bagels, bread, cereals etc. The refrigerator is big and we could put some of our food there. The room and bathroom were very clean and it had enough towels. Shower was working very nicely. The location is excellent. It is very close to Red Line Davis stop. There are restaurants, CVS and supermarkets all around. The BB was located in a quiet street so we were not disturbed by the city noise. I will definitely stay there next time I am in Boston.

Tasty and expansive continental breakfast; enjoyed speaking with the lovely owner, room was comfortable, as was the bed. Bathroom was spacious and shower was good/strong. Location is superb for Davis Square, and just a short T ride away to Harvard Square and downtown Boston. Within a week, I stayed at 3 different small hotels in the Porter Square/Davis area - this was my favorite place out of the three for its comfort and friendliness. Dragon Pizza at the end of the road was also excellent for a late night snack.

It would have been good to have a folding chair for the desk area as the large chair did not fit well between the bed and the desk, so I had to work on the bed, which wasn't ideal. Also, providing some USB power charging capability would be good.

It’s walking distance to stores and restaurants in Davis square. Very quaint neighborhood. Christina and Steven are very sweet and accommodating. Christina gave lots of tips about the area and the best way to get to our sight seeing places. It was very quiet and they offer a continental breakfast as well. You have access to the fridge if you need to store food or meds. The room was extremely clean and the bed very comfortable. They give you a parking pass for your car also.

I have no complaints about Bowers House Bed and Breakfast.

Bowers House was a great find. It is on a quiet street just three blocks from Davis Square, which has a bunch of great restaurants and a Red Line T stop with fast service to Harvard Sq., MIT, and downtown Boston. It also has the start of the Minuteman Trail, a charming walk/run/bike greenway that goes on for miles, all the way to Concord, MA -- great if you like to run a few miles every day, as I do. Prices are reasonable: we paid under $200/night, a bargain especially with free parking, which is a huge benefit if you came to Boston by car as we did (you don't really need a car in the Boston area otherwise). The owners are very nice and the breakfast was simple but nutritious (fruit, yogurt, cereal).

The room was comfortable but a little chilly (we visited in late November, outdoor temps in the 20s-40s). I didn't ask if we could borrow a space heater or something like that, which would have solved the problem.

Continental help-yourself breakfast, a very good variety of hot and cold fresh & packaged food items and cold & hot drink options available 24/7, with your own shelf in the fridge to store any fresh purchases from local shops by guests. Very clean and comfortable. Brilliant location out-with Boston, just around the corner from a busy vibrant street jam packed with good bars, take-aways, restaurants (some with tables outside), convenience & grocery stores and the local underground train station, along with many buses servicing the area. It is just far away enough not to hear any noises from the street Great holiday tips from the very friendly and helpful owners. Would definitely recommend.

The only thing I would improve would be a less firm mattress on the bed, but that's an individual preference and not a negative really.

Communication from the staff was thorough and helpful, which enabled me to arrive after hours, enter the room, and use guest parking with no problems. The owners recommended very good restaurants and shops in the area and were quite friendly. The location is excellent and 24 hour kitchen facilities were very helpful to have. I really hope to stay there next time I'm in Boston.

The a/c is a bit noisy which is fine if you like a bit of white noise as I do, but it might not suit all travelers in hot weather. The free wifi worked fine but is not a secure network so I'd recommend a pocket wifi for more security if desired.

Continental breakfast with coffee, juice, breads, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit and cereal options. Excellent urban location close to restaurants / bars and public transportation. Hosts very friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions. Room / bathroom was comfortable, clean and sanitized. Welcome in adjoining rooms to relax and eat. A very pleasant stay overall!

I would have liked better fluffier pillows! It would have been nice to sit outdoors and enjoy the garden but they had painters working on the exterior and for safety concerns it was not possible.
