La Quinta by Wyndham Boston Somerville

Amazing location to attractions around Boston. You’re about 15 minutes from Cambridge (Harvard) and 10 from the state house and Quincy Market area. About 45 minutes from the Cape as well. There is also a shopping center walking distance (11 minute walk/2 min drive) from the hotel, called Assembly Row maybe? The hotel and staff were very accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay of 5 days/4 nights.

Decor and furniture was dated and the free parking filled up quickly. There are plenty of compact car parking spots but people without compact cars were forced to park there too due to availability. Housekeeping must be requested 24 hours in advance and does not come each day.

Excellent and clean hotel, no good breakfast though, almost nothing there, cold breakfast, La Quinta used to have a great breakfast! I guess not anymore, very disappointed about this although the room was excellent.

Very poor breakfast, nothing there, no coffee, nothing to eat, I have to ask the receptionist if he can make coffee and if he has muffins or something, he did but the muffins were horrible, could not eat it..... and it was early!

The location of this hotel to the T-Line station is less than a 5 minute walk through the absolutely beautiful Assembly Station area. Also the Ninety Nine Pub out front was great, as well as the Assembly Shopping area all around.

The mattresses were absolutely Horrible !!! Both queens in our room were SUNK IN THE CENTER BAD !!!! My son had a horrible 2 nights sleeping on these beds.

The hotel is in a great location!! Across the street from a shopping center with some nice shops and cafes, and a subway station. The room was spacious, needs a bit of renovation but good for the price and clean. The breakfast was nice, you can make your own waffle, there's coffee and yogurts, bread, mini muffins in a bag that I took on the go. The staff was very nice! Overall you get a pretty good deal for the price.

I read other reviews before the arrival, about the hotel not serving water for breakfast, I did see someone buying a bottle of water in the morning from the reception, so I'm not sure why the hotel is not providing hot or cold water and not reading the reviews... but we came prepared so everything was fine.

Location, easy access to main highway. Short walk to T Metro Station straight into Boston. Assembly has numerous restaurants and a very pleasant outdoor mall. Our room was a quiet corner.. Breakfast was good, albeit busy.

Hotel not offering daily housekeeping, small supply of coffee/shampoo, etc in room. Fresh towels available from reception. Hotel is getting dated and years of use beginning to show so refurbishment should be considered.

The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. The lobby was comfortable to wait in until our rooms were ready. We needed a room close to the elevator and the staff was able to arrange that for us.

Breakfast was all carbs. Would have been nice to have some eggs and meat to travel on. It would be great for the hotel to offer a shuttle to the cruise terminal. They have the shuttle bus and it is about the same distance as the airport.

It was clean with comfortable beds. Staff were excellent. Free shuttle to and from Mass General Hospital saved us a lot of money in parking/Uber fares; also only ~4 miles away so extremely convenient. Great shopping and places to eat within a couple blocks. Orange line(T) straight to middle of Boston in 10 minutes was within walking distance. Free included breakfasts were great-scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, yogurt, etc.(available 6-9).

Lots of construction going on nearby although we were out most of day so it was okay. No maid service. we had to ask for and go get towels and cups/coffee for in room coffee maker after first day there.

Night clerk was very kind. Breakfast options were mostly unhealthy. I did eat an orange and a yogurt with my coffee - thanks for those.A

A better way to communicate with he hotel for a shuttle pick up, the current system was very frustrating. I tried calling texting and finally got through via the national phone number which had extremely poor audio.

Wonderful friendly staff. Location, breakfast were GOOD.

Room was comfortable, spacious, but we had serious complaints about the cushioned furniture (needs a mandatory renovation) and the bathroom equipment was unsatisfactory (there were no shelves, hooks, the bath itself was slippery and without handrails). Carpet in room looked too old.

It is a good size, and near a shopping mall and some restaurants

The breakfast is very basic, and closes promptly at 9:00 am. The breakfast room is too small, not enough space. One morning, we have to bring food to room. The lounge/reception area is very small. Even though they have the breakfast room free, the staff would not allow guests to use. If you need to wait for a little while after checking out, there is limit space for that.
