Courtyard by Marriott Albion

It honestly blew my mind how fancy and luxurious this hotel was. We selected it as we were attending a function in Battle Creek, and it was the best rated and most reasonably priced room in the entire area around Marshall and Battle Creek. The room was spectacular - it was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The had soap, shampoo and conditioner in generous pump bottle. Water pressure was great, shower room was modern and had no door but it did not flood floor at least. There was generous closet space, extra pillow and an iron. Our room had a coffee maker, a kettle, and a fridge, but it did not have a freezer. Wifi was public but was satisfactory, the curtains blocked light effectively and there was no sound even though we were facing the parking lot (though you can hear the trains at night).

Generous soap, shampoo, and conditioner, but only hotel-sized bottle of lotion. We had hoped for complimentary bottled water as there wasn't really any supermarkets nearby, but otherwise, we had a great stay. Fridge did not have a freezer function, but there is ice down the hallway.

The staff were amazing and accommodating. If they saw us all sitting on the patio they would bring out a pitcher of ice water and cups. They opened a large room so the entire family (we had only two couples out of everyone that was staying at this hotel, everyone else was either from near there or at a b&b) could eat dinner and socialize. The staff was my favorite part of my stay!! Thank you!!!

No shower curtain or way to close the shower. It was just wide open. It was really cold one night when I was out. I got to my room so I could take a hot shower to warm up but since the shower was incapable of retaining heat, I went to bed cold. Seriously, finished the shower. This half wall thing might be trendy but it renders the shower useless and water gets all over the bathroom floor. Plus if you're not careful, you could slip on the bathroom floor afterwards.

We wanted to stay a little closer to Marshall Michigan but this hotel was only 11 minutes away so it was okay.

I wish there would have been a microwave in the room. And for the price of the room I was disappointed there was no breakfast included.

The check in staff was distracted with a personal computer causing guests to wait to be checked in. Then we were notified that our room had been sold to another guest, leaving us to pay a premium rate for a lesser room.

Breakfast was good, a nice change from waffles and such. Had plenty of time to get it before meetings. The gentleman behind the bar was very nice to deal with.

The cost of a bottle of water is a little high.

There was not breakfast available or any food service at this time. The clerk gave me a list of open places to eat, which was helpful. Clean rooms and very large. I would definitely stay there again if i return to the area.

Not much could have been better during these covid times. Its a little noisy being on the main street but i understand that can not be helped.

This hotel appears to be brand new. Extremely clean throughout. Friendly employees. Hotel has a bistro restaurant that has TVs in each booth. We ate at the local brewery which had excellent food. Basically a 4 or 5 star hotel in a 2 star town.

Staff were friendly, room was clean. Hotel is right down the street from the Albion Malleable Brewery which has a fantastic burger!

Breakfast was not included in the price of the stay. Room doors are quite heavy so they seemed to slam at times.

This place is awesome ! Rooms are great .Customer service is the best . Bistro is open almost all day . Great place to stay
